I have had a king hub a long time ago and i will never get another one.

It loosen up at the worst time and it required special tools. i sent it back to king for review and they found no issues with it.

I got rid of it.

But i had a hugi hub (the same star ratchet and it predated the dt swiss) i beat the crap out of it for several years with no maintenance. the star ratchet finally gave way. I was happy with the number of miles i had on my hugi.

By the way, do you know why my DT Swiss rear hub lost its total silence?
Is it just grease? Do you put it often?

When i rebuilt my 350 hub a year ago i put 70w-90 redline gear lube (probably any high quality gear lube will be fine)

But with grease it is sometimes slows down the engagement  and the teeth will not fully engage and could cause the teeth to strip out.
