Facing BB shell

Do most of you face the BB shell of ypur new carbon frame?  I've always just faced my non carbon frames with a block and fine sandpaper.  Anybody do this with their frames or just install your outboard bearing BB?

I have the tools to face BB shells ( alloy ones !! ) but never had the need to use them.
