Winter = Trainer Season, Anyone Elst on Zwift
« on: January 13, 2019, 09:59:25 AM »
So for this winter I have purchased a Wahoo Kickr to use while the weather is cold an rainy here in the South.  Anyone else on Zwift?

Here in Belgium the winter didn't really start.
I'm still resisting to zwift, to force me go outside by any weather.

Some anecdotes on zwift:
Per their Strava activities, some people don't ever ride outside
On races, you have to pedal at +300w before the race start, for not being dropped by the peloton
Doping is rampant... It is too easy to cheat on your weight

I've used Zwift for the past 4 months, not so much in April, and overall I've enjoyed being able to ride using my trainer when the weather was cold and wet outside.

I know about the doping but don't really care, since there are thousands of people on any given map, there's still plenty of people to pass ;D.

I've stopped my subscription now that the weather is nicer, will probably not get back on Zwift again until sometime in late October or November.
