FS All Mountain Frame
« on: August 16, 2014, 06:41:03 AM »
Hey,

I've read a lot about the Carbon China Frames in the last couple of days. I am looking for a All Mountain Frame with 130 mm like the Stumpjumper FSR.
Is there any frame on the market?

Thanks in advance
Chris

I think a lot of guys (myself included) have been waiting for a full suss all mtn chiner, but to my knowledge there still isn't one available.

It's been talked about elsewhere on this forum, but I'm not sure what the hold up is? Perhaps I'm just ignorant of the process.. But why doesn't one of these Chinese companies just make and sell one? I just don't get it, the demand is there.

What about this frame? IP098 from XMIPlay, but I can't find it on their website.

Yeah, that frame is starting to get more attention here lately. It certainly looks good but, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think it's a cross country frame that simply resembles an Enduro frame - which is causing people to assume it's an all mtn chiner, but it's not.

I hope I'm wrong. I'll do some deeper research on this frame, bc like I said.. It looks awesome.

I'd wait. It seems like there's a true multilink chiner coming to the market sooner than later. LaMere (who orders frames from the catalog) posted a teaser pic on FB back in april that looked like the love child of a pivot and a santa cruz.

I agree. If you're wanting/needing an all mountain chiner frame just give it a few months. Where there is demand, there will be supply.

That frame looks promising!

I am also seriously interested in this.
With all the rave about AM and enduro etc it should only be a matter of time.

That frame looks really good!
Is there any news about it?
LaMere posted on Facebook, it has 150 mm travel.
Isn't that to much for a 29er?

This needs to stop.  If these Chinese carbon frames keep coming out at this pace, I'm going to have to sell my car and remortgage my house to feed my addiction.  My list just keeps getting longer...

The new frame appears to be the 2015 HongFu HF-FM356, it's also on the HongFu website along with the 27.5" version.  I would expect Peter at XMIplay would to be able to get one if anyone wanted it.
