looking for ready made Ti frames.
« on: March 07, 2021, 10:37:19 AM »
hi there, i’m currently looking for a seller who has ready made Ti frames for a budget gravel build. read the previous posts and saw that Walty & TiBicycles has some available. but would like to know if there’re others which have them available.

looking for something that is compatiable with my road bike as i might be transfering some parts over from it. 700c wheelsets, etc.

There aren't that many titanium bike frame builders in China, not unlike carbon fiber frame manufacturers, so I added a couple from Taiwan. There's also one in Hong Kong, Titan something, Tito Titanium seems to be one of their brand. No idea if they're the same with the Taiwanese Titan Super Bond (see below) though.

Titan Super Bond Co., Ltd. (Taiwan)

XACD (China)

ORA Engineering (Taiwan)

I have no experience with any of these companies but ORA Engineering is (from my recent readings) considered to be one of the best (some say THE best) in the world. But don't quote me on that.

thank you so much for this. i’ll probably look at the Taiwanese makers.

relatively new to back to cycling so i have no idea on prefered geometry, etc. thus the search for ready-made frames. also, i am curious as to where i can purchase gravel specific CF forks as well.

i intend to build a Ti frame with CF seatpost, forks, stem&drops. probably ZTTO mechanical disc brakes. reusing my spare 700c Cosmic wheelset as a starting wheelset with a MicroShift Advent C dropbar groupset.

am i missing out anything?

If you want a titanium fork, you can ask the titanium frame manufacturer if they have on stock. Some of them actually have or would do custom Ti forks.

For carbon fiber forks (road/gravel/mtb) & other cf parts, you can check out those Chinese vendors mentioned in this group. Personally, I got mine from Xiamen Carbon Speed (Peter Xu). I tried Carbonda, but they aren't responding.

I think Waltly is also a well know option
http://waltlytitanium.com/

And on AliExpress you can find PYTITANS, which are the cheapest option I think.

https://www.unicorncycles.com/ is a state side supplier and has stock frames for $1,100 I think.

Hello,

I contacted walty, xacd and titan cycles (titan products). Titan was the cheapest and their builds seems to be as good as others.
XACD was same price as Europe titanium builder.

https://www.titancycles.com/

I ordered at Titan. I should received the frame around may/june.
I will create a dedicated post.

Edit : when i contacted Walty in january, I received an automatic email saying that they won't take any new order until March/April at least. I didn't even got a quote for my project, no answer since.

Absolutely.
I ordered a custom full suspension MTB.
They can do virtual pivot, single pivot, softail.

That's really tempting tbh, would you please put some pictures up of your bike?

i actually really like the Canyon Grail geo & all. does it make sense for me to copy the geo from a aluminium bike to have it on a Ti frame? or does anyone do OEM frames for Canyon?

i'm going for a Ti frame/ CF Fork setup. i'm located in Asia currently so shipping would not be a problem.
