The first email landed in spam. They did see it after some time. They will NOT be replacing the frame nor the front triangle. Yeah, really disappointed.

That sucks. I assume Carbonda would replace it in the first two years (their warranty length IIRC), but I’m past that now so I’m not removing that rear brake line unless I absolutely have to. Thankfully it’s the front brake I’ve had issues with…

I bought a Saint caliper in case that’s the only fix but I’m hoping a more aggressive bleed fixes the wildly variable and often super soft lever action I was getting at the bike park last season. Having one M8120 caliper and one M820 caliper doesn’t seem like a recipe for getting the two lever feels balanced.

Yeah, absolute ass that support. They told me that since the frame itself is not broken, I should contact a bike shop to route my cables and put some foam to dampen the noise.Safe to say, their warranty sucks. Will not buy from them again.

that is a surprising answer.  i guess i was a little surprised when i found out that the frame had guide tubes so that was a big plus when i built the frame.  their solution of running the cables with the foam covers, while shitty, will still allow the frame to function just like is should.  most frames on the market don't have guide tubes and just rely on the foam damping stuff.  don't let this get you down, just reroute those cables and get out there and shred.

Yeah, that’s how my FM1002 and CFR707 are routed and while I don’t love it for maintenance reasons, it’s workable — albeit a PITA for you or your mechanic.

The issue may be more with removing the original internal tubing cleanly, and the possibility of some rattle because there are no grommets on the 1003/X17 like there are on those other two frames.

But it doesn’t have to be a frame killer.

Well, the reason why I bought the frame is actually because of the noise. I saw that there were cable guides; that was a real plus for me.Probably the reason why I even bought the frame.I managed to break the other end and route the cable; that was a real pain.Well, some discoveries that I made, and maybe you too:When using a coil shock (RockShox Ultimate Super Deluxe) with a 450lb spring, the suspension gets kind of stuck at the beginning. Like, there is a point where you have to overcome a good amount of friction for that part; after that, it is fine.

I didn't notice any stiction in the frame. Although I will admit that I have not cycled it fully with out a shock in it. Have you pulled the bolts from the main pivots and checked the bearings?   Does it make any strange noises when you cycle the suspension without a shock?

Without the shock, it is perfect; a few bearings got changed. (They were fine; I just did it because I can.)I mean when I have the RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate installed with a 450-pound spring.Well, I do NOT want to spread misinformation. I got in contact with ICAN and showed them that the cable routing was indeed broken. (with a clear video this time; last time it was not so clear)They said they can repair it in China; I have to send them the frame.I am not so sure if they will cover the shipping cost; the email sounded like they would, but they did not say it explicitly.
