256SL build problems with X0 components
« on: November 18, 2014, 03:31:16 PM »
hello to everybody
i just bought a 256sl frame, a x01 crankset in 2x10 spiderless configuration (2 rings 22-36 from FRM) and sram x0 front derailleur direct mount bottom pull for 36-38 chainrings, s3 holes.
First i noticed that the front derailleur has 2 holes at 22.1 mm distance but 1 hole is recessed of 5mm, while on frame they are flat. But in this configuration, it seems not able to push the chain in little chainring. It's too far from frame simmetry axle.
Any suggestion? Is this front derailleur not compatible with this frame?

Hi there, I've got the same frame. I used a Shimano FD-M785-E2 XT Front Derailleur 2x10 (E-Type). And I think this is the only FD that fits the direct mount on this frame.
