Info and opinions on Miracle Cycling's FS822
« on: May 17, 2022, 03:51:02 PM »
Hello,

I'm interested in what looks like an interesting "down country" frame with 120mm rear trave. It is Miracle Cycling's FS822
https://www.miraclecycling.com/mountain-bike-frame/suspension-mountain-bike-frame/29er-full-suspension-downcountry-carbon-frame.html#F1

Unfortunately, I cannot much information about nor any review.

Does anybody own one or have some information?

Thanks.

More info Here

Not the most progressive I've seen considering it's 120mm out back and 120-150(?) recommended out front, but really good numbers to be for general trail riding. Haven't seen much info out there otherwise.

This is a classic 2019-2020 xc geo chart.
Not a down country as marketed...

In the formerly broken link.

I wouldn't go so far as to say its 19-20 XC geo, I think it probably fits the downcountry moniker, it's just not quite as aggressive as some of the newer trail bikes out there.

I believe that the geometry of the bike is a current geometry. I think that it is a bike with a lot of slooping and that the sizes are smaller than others. I don't see many differences with a spark , or with the new merida. A reach of 44.5 in size M is not a short reach. Many bikers who are between size M and L, who are looking for bikes with a very long reach, can choose the L. The bike with so much slooping, a slightly longer seat tube looks good. Does anyone know the price? delivery times? I have seen aliexpress price (1450 euros), but it seems to me that the price is not correct

I contacted Miracle and got a quote of 699 USD + Shipping for 1 frame in matte black.
Something that holds me back is the apparent lack of any bottle mount and considerable BB drop (48mm)

I'd clarify with them regarding water bottle bosses. A lot of the time their early production pictures don't have them and the finished products do. I also wouldn't worry about a 48mm BB drop, that's on the lower side but ultimately not that far off a lot of bikes days. Particularly if you'll use 165/170 cranks and a fork longer than 120mm

Oh whoa! This frame looks good. Yeah, the geometry is close to the current crop of XC bikes in the market, but XC bikes are creeping into the 120mm rear travel territory.

I like this frame. Can anyone share inputs on Miracle's quality control? Similar to Light Carbon?

Thanks in advance!

I just contacted them this morning about the frame because shes real looker! I asked about a heavier, stronger layup. these suspension bikes can get noodly bc they're built so damn light. We'll see what happens there.
I got my first Chinese carbon frame in 2008 and  i remember seeing Miracle all those years ago and they were reputable back then. As far as lm concerned they are top-notch company. They have some negative reviews but every company does. Frankly, l hope to order from these guys because they are so well established.

Thanks for sharing!

The rear shock length is little strange to me - 184x45. Should I search for Imperial length at 7.25x1.75?

I think there's a typo there. Must be 185x45, which is used by several other frames
