Cross-posting from the 11.11. sales thread:

So it looks like we will see these vouchers coming from AliExpress for the 11.11. single days sale which have a different value/threshold than the regular choice day vouchers. If you wanna try to do some shopping basket pre-planning ;)

5€ orders 39€+
12€ orders 89€+
25€ orders 169€+
40€ orders 269€+
60€ orders 359€+
80€ orders 499€+

I expect the same vouchers to be available for USD as well. However keep in mind, the Euro vouchers do work for USD purchases as well and will often give a better value if you can hit the thresholds.
At the moment only cheapest coupon are available and expire date is 18/11.
In some minigames on aliexpress app such as merger boss the credit will be available from 18/11 so it seems I can't use coupon and credit at the same time.
Do you think the best is coming for black friday at the end of november?

I updated my review of the bootleg White Industries R30 cranks a few pages back.  Tl;dr is don’t buy them, the pedal threading is reversed, making them totally useless as a component.

Hard to tell. It mostly comes down to how the sellers are lowering the base prices of their products. If they don't then vouchers/credits will be more important; if the base price will be discounted considerably, then that will have more effect. Only advice I can give is check the prices of the actual products you want to purchase during the sales periods and make your decision based on that.

That's just batshit crazy. I suppose there is no possibility that you confused L/R side cranks or that it actually does not matter b/c both are threaded the same direction? If that's the case it really shows that this manufacturer did just copy a concept without really understanding it. I saw that with a couple of Chinese/counterfeit suppliers before. Sorry for your loss  :-\
Slow on the climb. And everywhere else.

Did you get them? Wonder how they compare

will they clear a 28mm gp4000 measuring 30mm on a wider rim, do you know?

28mm GP5000 on DT swiss p1800 rims work fine on mine with clearance left, so I'm guessing you can do 30? That will be the limit though. They measure 28.5mm on the rim.

Thanks, it definitely looks promising!
my seatstay brake bridge on one frame was so low shimano brakes wouldn't clear a 30mm tire, but the fouriers did.
right now i'm running long-reach tektros and 650x42 slicks instead.

Gonna post the cast magnesium roadbike and cheap alu gravel frameset that i found.
Magnesium road frameset. The frame is 2.6kg and the fork is 1.5kg and the sizing is i couldn't replicate it in bike geometry calculator.

From what i could gather its only sold on alixpress and one listing in shopee. I'm quite interested in the frame as its unique enough and choice for some reason. You dont see a cast magnesium frame frequently.

It certainly is a quirky conversation piece and I totally get buying odd stuff just for it being odd stuff.

I believe cast mg frames have been done in the 90s (or 80s?) and were already a bad idea back than with regard to both manufacturing and functional aspects of the product itself ... or an experiment, we could say, the nothing-ventured-nothing-gained kind of bold move.

Vaast bikes currently makes magnesium bikes. Their gravel model comes with pretty crazy looking drive side chainstay. Almost makes me want one. $1300 for the frameset. Not terrible for novelty.

Adding titanium and lithium to Mg can make it on par with steel in strength but the corrosion is not addressed. I was interested in this frame as it was cheap(under 100€), almost perfectly sized and in my area nobody owns a modern looking any bike. Wouldve humbled my middle of nowhere bikeshop again.
On the other hand did a qick weight calculation and it came to be around 13.6kg, fat af.

I stopped buying chains from Ali. Every chain I get ends up being trash. I now just stick to legit Shimano or SRAM chains.
