New build 29er 1x12 shifting issue
« on: October 27, 2023, 10:37:47 PM »
Hi everyone.

I have just completed my first build and am quite proud of myself however I have a bit of an issue.
I cannot shift past the 10th gear on the rear cassette.I checked and the H & L screws are set ok.Have adjusted the cable tension at the shifter as much as I can.  I have used all shimano deore m6100 gear except for the cassette. I am using a HG 11/12 speed hub. The frame is a bxt 29er boost frame, I noticed that the rear wheel is off set to the left of the dropouts by maybe 10mm but the disc is sitting in the caliper ok and works ok.

Any suggestions much appreciated.

See if you can move the derailleur by hand to all the gears with gear cable completely detached.
Then you know if the problem is something around the derailleur, or with the cable + shifter.
