I’ve never seen a chain with orange links like that, looks awesome. I also just ordered some thundero HD’s for my build

I just received my frame from tantan. As expected, there aren’t any instructions. I’m noticing that there are two different thickness headset bearings, with identical ID and OD. Which one belongs on the top/bottom?

My guess would be that the thicker one belongs on the bottom because it will handle most of the axial load, but the gap between the fork and frame seems kind of large

Tideace sends 52x40x7 for top and bottom. But I would not recommend these ones as bearings and screws likely start to rust.

Any recommendations for better headset?

Are the "premium" CS-style solid oil bearings worth the uplift of almost 90% in your opinion?
Slow on the climb. And everywhere else.

It's on my shortlist so I will buy it when I change the handlebar as I have to remove the fork for this anyway :D
I think you will get the most out of it if you often ride in wet/muddy conditions as you have lower wear and tear in your headset bearings.

Thanks Uberflo. I’m in the US so I think I’m going to order two of the stainless ACB 4545 150 from enduro bearings https://cycling.endurobearings.com/collections/headset-bearings/products/acb-4545-150-ss

I’m not sure how they compare to what you sent, but sealed stainless bearings seem like a worthwhile upgrade on a fully integrated handlebar

For anyone who is still looking for definitive axle lengths, I just checked mine from TanTan
Front is 12x125mm, 17mm thread length, 1.5mm thread pitch
Rear is 12x168mm, 17mm thread length, 1.0mm thread pitch. I’ve seen people buy other UDH hangers on other bikes so they can switch to 1.5mm pitch, not really sure why they decided to make them different

At one point I asked about the Seatpost clamp diameter. If anyone else needs it, it’s 31.8mm

1.0 mm is the official SRAM UDH pitch, I just changed the hanger on another bike

I think I ask you this before but I forgot. I’m about to but a 46T chainring up front what size spacer did you use on the drive side

46 T, tyres and chainring are maxed out on this frame.

What size spacer did you use on the front chainring to get the 46t to fit?

It fits without a spacer, but I used a small one (0.5mm maybe?) just to give a little extra clearance.

FYI I’m using the wheeltop gravel groupset also. It’s perfect once you get the gears dial in. It never miss a shift.
