Goldix M160SL hubs

(1/1)

lukwy:
Hi, I'm about to build XC light wheels for my racing bike and I wonder if anyone of you own this Goldix M160SL hubs and could say a word about its quality and longevity.
It has not popular ratchet system with 72t. The body I think is made of carbon. They are about 30g lighter than EXP240 model. The other difference is wider flanges distances, but still not as wide as in ZTTO M1 (these are very wide).

You are right. I had to mixed up the models. It is even better when it comes to change the bearings :)

I have these on some wheels but chanegd the ratched system. I never tried the 72T version because i didn't read much good about that from a longevity perspective. I ride all year in the UK and have done about 2000 miles on my wheels since October. They are really loud, i am using 36T ratchet and I checked the ratchet recently and all looked good. Just gave it all a good clean and put back together.

The HG freehub i have is like cheese. It didn't take long before the sprockets had worn badly into the splines because the splines have much less material on them. I bought a replacement but yet to fit it, shifting is still okay and overall been super happy with the hubs. Bearings still smooth and nothing corroded inside.

Perhaps not a great insight to this specific version of the product but overall super happy with the goldix hubs and have two light XC wheelsets with them.
