No AliExpress knock-off on SRAM XPLR 13-speed 10-46T yet?
« on: March 06, 2025, 03:34:47 AM »
The SRAM XPLR 12-speed 10-44T (10, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19......) skips the "12".   This one has several knock-off on AliExpress going for around $100.

SRAM XPLR 13-speed 10-46T did not skip the "12".    Its lowest cogs are: 10, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17.......   But SRAM sells it for $800/cassette.

The Wheeltop GeX wireless derailleur can work with this new 13-speed cassette.

I wonder why there is still no AliExpress knock off yet.  Patent? or market interest not there yet?

If you've got the money to lash out on SRAM Red 13 speed, I don't think the cost of a cassette worries you too much.

The cassettes, like the 12 speed MTB transmission cassettes (for which there's no Chinese equivalent of either), I expect are quite different to a regular cassette. I don't have any hands on experience with transmission equipment though.

The Chinese Wheeltop GeX wireless derailleur can work with up to 14 speeds cassettes, hence should work with the new SRAM Red 13 speed. Hence the ask. The beauty of the Wheeltop GeX is that it can work for multiple speeds, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14 cassettes.

Could always 3d print a spacer and find a single cog.

I was wondering the same thing, and was hinted towards the Ekar cassettes (obviosy a campagnolo freehub body is needed)...
