Happy Holidays!
I've been using it for 3 months now and while it does have false positives and a couple false negatives (mostly motorbikes, it only detects half of them i'd say) I still find having a radar valuable for the peace of mind, despite relatively friendly motorists here. However I've been fighting battery life the entire time, I'm using radar only for the most part and even disabled the brake light (which I'm pretty sure isn't a real accelerometer but just turns on whenever my speed is under a certain threshold (12-15kmh?) which is a lot of the time in the mountains. If it is an accelerometer, it's quite badI would estimate I only get about 8-10 hours with these very conservative settings. It's very light but I wish they added 20 grams or so on the battery capacity. I'm not sure I would buy it again in those conditions and I'm thinking of trading it for an IGPSport SR30 mini
I wouldn't take garmin as an example to follow when it comes to battery. Maybe their main competitor is equally bad, but imo 8 hours is awful. I don't want to recharge it every other ride and wish they sacrificed a little weight for more battery
Has anyone found any good mounts for an aero seatpost? I'm using the standard mount that came with it but I find it slips often and faces the side. I have a Vision Trimax Aero Wing seatpost if it makes any difference.
I use a garmin mount which hangs off my saddle rails. I tried the long rubber band one which comes with the unit but it stretched too much; the rail mount has been solid.
I would use that but I have a saddle bag that attached to the rails so there's no room for anything else there unfortunately
