Dengfu fm-218
« on: June 30, 2015, 11:21:28 AM »
Does anyone here own this frame? I think it is not at the top of my list. To me it looks exactly like the ip256 but has different seatstay attachment points.
If no one owns it, does anyone have any info on the frame from other pages/friends?

Thanks.

Interesting.  Without looking at the geometry, it does appear to look a lot like the 256.  I do like the seat stay design better as it appears to be more robust.

I suspect that the frames that are only offered in a single BB type are OEM (Name Brand) frames; the OEM is offering complete bikes for sale and have the component groups set.  They do not need 3 different BB types so they only have molds made for one type.  The CS-041 falls into this category.

The frames offered in 2 or 3 different BB styles are likely true generic frames.

To me it looks closer to my IP-056 than the IP-256.  Either way, looks like a nice frame.
