The best 120-140mm fork for $3-$400?
(1/1)
Izzy:
Okay fellas, much appreciate the info I've gotten here so far. Now I was hoping to get a crowd consensus on the best 120-140mmm fork for preferably less than $400. I could go that high bit I REALLY don't want to. I've been reading a lot about the X-fusion forks that have popped up on a few threads here but just wandering what kind of deals some of you guys were able to find on other forks?? Want to keep my options open.
Thanks in advance!
Carbon_Dude:
I just posted this in another thread. 80mm - 120mm forks. Not much at or below the $400 mark. My favorite fork, at the moment, is the Rockshox Reba Dual Air but they don't make those anymore. Probably a Rockshox SID Worldcup would be my next choice or RTC3 if you want 120mm.
Pricepoint has a Marzocchi Corsa SL at a decent price of $379.
Or a Manitou Tower Pro 80mm QR15 $399. (I think this is the one SN bought).
Or a Marzocchi 320LR 100mm QR15 for $468.
Manitou Tower Pro 29er Fork QR15 140mm $399
Manitou Tower Pro 29er Fork QR15? 120mm $399 <<---- Might be your best deal if it is QR15

Izzy:
Thanks for the information reply Carbon Dude. Sorry for the redundant question. Not long after I posted this I saw where you had posted this info in the other thread. Either way, it's a good little round-up/summary of what the options are right about now.
I think you may be right about that Tower Pro looking like the best option. The X-fusion line is attractive but after more investigation the forks run about the same price as the Manitou, and I'm actually kind of fond of the Manitou brand for some reason. Not sure why, never owned or even ridden one, guess I've read enough positive things about them over the past years.
Man, really wish I could've snagged a Tower Pro 120mm for $275. SN - was it only the 80mm that were on sale for that price or all of the travel options? You happen to know if they cycle that deal on and off like a lot of these online shops do? Thanks.
