I love the new top tube design. They got rid of the kink before the seat post in the top tube and made it one smooth line down to the rear axle... $1580 for the frame.

Agreed, I like it also. I wonder how the geometry compares to the Workswell frame that's been out for a while. If they are comparable, it might be worth a try on the Chinese frame ($600) vs. the Trek Frame ($1500+).

Oh wow. Is the new "tweaked" Stache geometry already published somewhere?
I should really order the Chiner frame now, summer will be over soon.

I know the original Stache geometry is the same as the Workswell version, but I haven't been able to find the updated 2017 geometry published anywhere yet.

The carbon frames have a slightly different shape, however the shape of the aluminum frame appears to be the same as m7 2016 model.  The geometry changes are minor, IMO, Trek made a change for 2017 just for marketing reasons.  What is bigger news to me is the MSRP of the Stache dropped by $400, down to $2,099 and the new carbon Stache 9.6 is priced at $2,999.  Some really good value for the money on a carbon bike from Trek.

If you guys have not ridden a plus bike, particularly a 29+, then you are missing out on a great riding experience.  It's not for everyone, but for me the Stache is the best bike I've ridden.  I don't know if the Chiner Stache clone rides as well, I'd like to do a side-by-side comparison to find out though.

Carbon dude, Do you think your Stache would compete in a XC atmosphere? Curious as these are the trails I ride and am quite interested in getting a 29+. Or even converting my CS-019 fatbike into a 29+. Only thing is i wouldn't like the larger qfactor of the fatbike cranks on my main bike.

I wouldn't see why not.  If the course is bumpy and rough, has some nice downhill sections, has loose gravel, or is muddy, a plus tire will have an advantage.  However, if there is a lot of uphill and the trail is smooth, a lightweight XC bike will have an advantage.  For the trails I ride, I have timed myself and confirmed I am faster on the Stache 29+ and on my Spec SJ6F 27.5+ all with more confidence and more fun.
