Monstercross frame
(1/1)
rockbox:
I'm looking to build a ride anywhere bike with drop bars. The gotcha is finding a frame that can accommodate 2 inch tires and still handle drop bars. I've seen a lot of monstercross bike use mountain bike tires, but I would prefer cyclocross geometry. Are there any Chinese cyclocross frames that can handle 2 inch tires?

I have seen some Chinese CX frames for sale on EBay, but they typically only accommodate 32c tires. A couple of other options though.
- If you don't mind aluminum and can live with 1.75" tire clearance, you can pick up a Gravity Zilla frame for $199 shipped:

- You can also get a standard Chinese 29er carbon HT frame/fork and put drop bars on it. Keep in mind that MTBs typically have a longer TT than road/cross frames, so you will probably need to go size smaller to compensate and run a slightly shorter stem. You would end up with something like the bike in the attached pic.
