Any recommendations for breaks for my Airwolf YFM026 in XL? Path length through the frame is 1.23m. Would the RACEWORK XT S M8000 (https://a.aliexpress.com/_msynuJX) with 1.55m be too short?

Mainly looking for advice on mistakes I might be making, parts that might not fit, or bad experiences with parts.

For now, I'd change the crank to Fovno Phantom, as I don't know the one you listed

Any advice for good bottom brackets? This is the first thing I found for PF30 -> 24mm:

Or would you recommend using a PF30 -> BSA68 adapter and then using a screw-in bottom bracket?

29er / XL hardtail frame options?
« on: May 15, 2021, 09:33:13 PM »
Trying to make sense of the options is kind of overwhelming as a noobie to mtb in general. I'm 189cm (6'2) with a RAD of 84cm. I'm looking for options for a XL sized hardtail frame. I will have some help in building the bike, but trying to get some overview over what is available. The most recent bike I rode was a used 2015 Bergamont Revox Team, which fit pretty nicely, but had a pretty big chip from what I assume was a fall, and I can't find the geometry online. The RAD was pretty much what I have. I would appreciate some advice on the options. I'm not looking to ride hard trails for now, just trying to build a decent bike for around 1000-1200.

I'm looking at similar problems trying to find a hardtail XL option (6'2, 189cm, RAD: 84cm). Are there any good option for XL hardtail frames at the moment?
