I am pretty new to this site but had a few questions about the CS-057 frame. First I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is the same frame as the IP-057? I know Peter spun off into a new company and I think it might be the exact same frame. I would also like to know if anyone has put a 120mm fork on the CS or IP? I'm thinking about putting a fox float 32 120mm with a 51 mm offset. Could you tell me about ride characteristics. Not looking for an xc racer but something fun to ride on light all mountain stuff. Is the geometry the same on the IP and the Cs 057? I got a quick response from Peter and hope to do business with him.

The CS-057 and IP-057 are the same. CS stands for the company name CarbonSpeed and IP voor IPlay.
About the 120mm, I cannot tell anything about it. Don't know.

At our level, after riding a 120mm fork for a while.
We would probably notice a handling change, doing a switch to 100mm.
But that difference would disappear after a few rides.
So if you start with a 120mm it will be your first experience with the bike, and it will be probably good.

Dunno man.. It's not mine. Was just a pic I found while researching the frame myself. I can't remember exactly what or where I read but I definitely recall positive comments towards the way the frame handled when outfitted with a 120mm fork.
Sorry I couldn't be more help.. It's been over a year since I read up on that specifically.

I'm very happy with my 120 Reba on my .057. Handles great. Killing it on very twisty stuff.
Plenty of gnarly rocky trails where I live so all 120 gets used. Climbing is efficient and predictable. As good as you'll get downhill on an xc hardtail.

I like the idea of the 120mm fork on the CS-057, one benefit is the extra bottom bracket clearance. Around here, there are lots of roots and rocks that are right for pedal strikes.

I kind of wish I went with a 120mm fork on my 057 with the amount of rocky rooty trails we have here. Also would slacken out the frame a little.

How is the seatpost cable routed?

You will need to find the person who owns the bike from which SN found that random picture on the internet. My guess is down the seat tube, around the BB, up the down tube, out to the lever.

Down the seat tube and up the downtube. It's not running a front derailleur and there is a hose coming out of the front derailleur hole by the headtube going to the left side of the handlebar. ;)

Will get new CS-057 frame soon, will try to route the cable to seatpost area.
