Re: TT-X34 Build/Ride First ~250 mile impression
Just curious. I believe you also considered vbr 218. What made you choose ttx34? Also, how would you rate stiffness?

Re: Velobuild VB-R-218
Hi VBR218 owners. On the edge of ordering a XXL frame. The geometry would be good for me. In fact, the dogma F is a relatively relaxed superbike geometry from my POV. The only thing that bothers me is the GC performance review on the fact that the frame would be stiff "vertically". I don't really care about the sluggish critic. What do you think about that "vertically" stiff claim? Is it truly a back breaker? How would you rate the comfort of the frame? Of course, wheel/tire setup affects that. What do you run for wheel/tires? October 26, 2022, 07:10:00 AM |

Re: Velobuild VB-R-218
X-weave is for the wheelset from elite wheels. I also ended up going with x-weave ENT with pillar 1420 spokes. For the matte frame, I also picked this one. Chris said it was the same as in GC performance video. I am not sure why he told you it is being painted as we see the carbon through the clear. Maybe just the frame joints are being painted. I will build the bike with Di2 ultegra, senicx PR2 crank, onirii br 05 brakes November 08, 2022, 07:15:06 PM |

Re: Hygge Aero Carbon Frame
During sprints, I find it flexes vertically a bit too much and does not transfer power as it should. Also during fast rides and descents, I can feel the frame absorbing a lot of the road profile instead of staying reactive (if that makes sense). I am 185lbs and 6ft+, so not the lightest and my sprints will go around 1000w. I might push the frame to its limit, not sure.

Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D)
Just an update on pricing from Yishun for the 1058-D. That was enough to turn me down on that frame. Those prices are getting really close to Yoleo frames I could get from Yoleo website here in Canada. Not worth it to deal with a direct factory from China at this price from my point of view. For retail orders, R1058-D is 749 USD per set, including frame, fork, seat post, clamp, headset, and handlebar. The painting cost will be around 150 USD Shipping cost from China to Canada: 185 USD Paypal fee: 5% Total 1138 USD October 12, 2023, 06:38:56 AM |

Re: Yuanan Carbon fiber wheelsets Year end discount promotion
I would not agree with that. My messages are being ignored. Wheelset was supposed to be 1450gr. Weight on the balance is 1537gr . Radio silence since I requested a small partial refund. The rest of the transaction was good with Leon, but the above is enough that I would not recommend them. December 20, 2023, 08:25:24 PM |

Re: Yuanan Carbon fiber wheelsets Year end discount promotion
I asked for 50 USD refund. I had similar experience with a wheelset in the past from another seller, I was refunded that amount for almost exact weight difference. Also this is what is charged for an upgrade of spokes giving a similar economy in weight from ElitWwheels. Pretty fair I think. We all know that for bike parts, weight is money. I was not trying the shame Leon with the email, but with the reply from him just stating that wheelset is 1500gr plus additional weight for finish, I figured I needed to prove that this is not what was communicated to me as final specs just before payment. I am not angry, just had to report that experience to this forum since I consider it really bad customer service. December 30, 2023, 03:21:05 PM |

Re: Velobuild VB-R-218
Positive discussion for now with Chris. He agreed to send another model, but I have to pay to compensate for fork, bar and seat post. That is fair. I would go with the 177, but I am tempted by the 268. It seems to be almost as light as the 177.It seems that the 177 reputation is pretty good. Do you guys think I should jump with the 268 or stay conservative with the 177? Edit: I just placed the order for the 268. January 10, 2024, 10:33:29 AM |

Re: Yuanan Carbon fiber wheelsets Year end discount promotion
I ordered a set of wheels, in my case I don’t care about the weight but more about the quality. I have not had the chance to ride them yet since I live in Canada, but quality seems good to me. i had 2 set of ElitWwheels and was satisfied with them. Yuan An manufactures them. Therefore I am expecting similar satisfaction. Yuan An provides the same 3 years warranty also. January 12, 2024, 08:30:25 AM |

Re: VeloBuild VB-R-268 frame
I just placed the order for the 268. I picked the silver chameleon paint job. Anyone had the chance to build their own? Mine will be with elite edge 45mm. I still have to pick a groupset. I want to go with Chinese mini groupset, but event in the mechanical/hydro brakes, I don't believe they are there yet to compete with Shimano/Sram. January 13, 2024, 06:43:07 PM |
