I just read through a whole bunch of posts, and can't seem to find this covered.
What is the best frame to come as close as possible to an Ibis Tranny 29er with the 120mm fork option? Specs below.
I have an S-works race bike. 90mm travel, super light. Super steep angles. Looking for more of an all mountain hard tail for when the trails get gnar. Possibly running this bike for BC Bike race next year if the build goes well.... I'll need to run 2.35 racing ralphs.
Thanks, any help appreciated.

I have seen guys put a 120mm fork on the 057 frame and I think it's your best bet. That said, that really isn't what it's designed for and unfortunately there isn't yet a chiner hardtail frame with slacker angles that is geared for more all mountain use similar to the Ibis Tranny.
Here's a pic of an 057 frame with a 120mm fork and dropper post. Like I said, I think it's your best option and will most likely work just fine for what you're wanting to do:

Thanks. Looks pretty good. From everything I've read, these frames all have an integrated headset fitment. That means no angleset I think. Has anyone found a way to use an angleset to slacken the head tube angle a degree or so? Then you could use a 51mm offset fork and the steering feel would mimmick the Ibis Tranny.

Interesting idea. I've been OCD researching Chinese carbon mtb for a few months now, and haven't seen that tried yet. Pretty sure you'd be the first. Theoretically, seems like a good idea.
And the 057 def sounds like the frame for you, as I'm pretty certain it's more slack than the 256.

From the drawings I have same length stays and identical HT and ST angles on the two bikes. The 057 "looks" stouter and better able to survive a rear point impact, but I don't own either frame.
