2023 VeloBuild CX-002 Cyclocross Frame
There is a new frame out from VB for cyclocross (and/or lighter gravel use): http://www.velobuild.com/products/velobuild-2023-new-cx-002-carbon-fiber-cyclocross-frame-full-inner-routing It looks like a 168 (so slightly aero), but with 42mm tire clearance, more CX friendly geometry, and a horizontal feature above the BB for structural rigidity? I'm not familiar with other cross bikes outside of the big 3, but it doesn't seem to look like anything else... that BB feature is distinctive though. (12/21 EDIT: The shape is similar to the 168/Tarmac-SL7, but with Trek Boone-ish Geo) I added a couple charts to compare to the 168 and the 2 current GF gravel frames. I'm currently shopping this bike as a road/light-gravel bike with 2 wheelsets. One with GP5k's/25mm and another with Pathfinder-Pro's in either 32 or 38mm. November 23, 2022, 01:42:13 PM |

If you want something long and low and aero I think you'd be much better served by a Speeder R49D than a knock-off Cervelo.

Rinasclta Granite Aero "All Road" Bike Frameset
So I have one of these coming my way. Attached is a photo from the factory https://rinascltabike.com/granite-aero-disc-road-frame/ -Geometry is more road than gravel -I ordered a size M/54 -No integrated handlebars, will be using my tried and true FSA NO.69/SRS headset to route the cables. -700c*38mm max tires size -While I have an actual gravel bike (Yoeleo G21), it's mostly overkill around here. -Chose unpainted in order to inspect any flaws, lower the production time, and I genuinely enjoy painting my own frames. I asked if they share this frame with any other brands, and their response was: "We share the frame mold with only one friend across internet" Obviously it's Airwolf since the photos are identical on both websites. After a bit of fiddling with the saddle I also figured out I have to order the Retrofit Kit 7x9.6mm for Seat Posts... Haha For now I have my old saddle with steel rails on. Bike is almost done! January 12, 2023, 04:38:43 PM |

BB went in good! 1st try went in straight! I have Shimano BB71 and pushed it in dry. Hopefully will stay creak free Edit: Done! Now just have to wait on good weather for the first test ride  (And need to borrow a scale to weigh it...) January 14, 2023, 06:12:48 AM |
