I have a Rock Shox Reba that is almost 1800 gr with axle and remote and I am in the market for a tapered rigid carbon fork with 15 mm axle for my IP-256SL
The only one I found is this one http://www.xmiplay.com/ProductDetails1661 (http://www.xmiplay.com/ProductDetails1661)
But this one is 720 gr according to Xmiplay together with the axle it will probably be over 800 gr.
I don't understand what the 2 metal things in the middel are for and why is there an aluminum ring at the at the contactpoint with the bottom headset?

FLYXI forks are 550 +/- 20gr, at least that is what they say on their website, but they only show QR forks , not 15 mm axle
The flyxi fork http://www.flyxii.com/products_1.asp?menuid=337&id=1281 (http://www.flyxii.com/products_1.asp?menuid=337&id=1281) looks much cleaner

Any tips?

If you mean the two small rivets just over half way up the leg, these are the front brake hose guide on the trailing edge of the fork.
It's not unusual to see an alloy ring at the bottom of carbon steerers. Given the way most people medieval their races on, it seems prudent on the part of the factory to provide some protection. It may be overkill but it's better than gouging the steerer, no?
If you insist on the thru axle model, go with the xmiplay and the 1000g weight saving.

Hi, did you order this? If so, how have you been getting on with it?

I ordered the rigid carbon fork IP-FK-052 from IPlay together with my IP-256. As you can see the fork is only 640 gr and a Schwalbe Nobby Nick 2.35 Has plenty of space!

Looking for a LONG term update this fork.
I would appreciate if you could provide any information? Durability? Quality of construction? Is the 485mm axle to crown true, as most other forks see are 480mm.
Many thanks!

I have been using the IP-FK-052 from IPlay for about a 18 months and love it. I have not had any problems with it, works the same as the first day I started using it. I found a really light axle made for this fork. https://r2-bike.com/SHIFT-UP-Thru-Axle-QR15-for-Carbon-Rigid-Forks
