Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc!
Didn't want to start a new thread but has anyone any thoughts/experience with Avian wheels? I've got the CR3 R325 38MM and I love it! I've got about 3,000 KM on it running tubeless setup. The newer version of the same model is lighter than the one I have. The only pain point with their wheels is their 'mega-structure' build where you've only got one hole to access and fish the nipples when replacing them. Will take you longer than usual but still doable. I just replaced all the nipples in my rear wheel after I stripped a couple of them using the nipple wrench of my multi-tool (which isn't too great in terms of quality) as I had to replace a spoke and re-align it. I initially took it to a bike shop and they thought I was joking about that single hole and left the wheel with them for a week. They called back and told me they can't do it as it'll take them about 2-3 days to replace the nipples. I did it in 2 days spending an about 1-2hrs per day. March 08, 2024, 11:23:00 AM |

Re: 11 Speed Cassette Recommendations - XD 10-42T or HG 11-42T
The SPEEDAO 1-piece cassette is a design that's been sold under a lot of different brands including S-ROAD and ZTTO. It's a solid unit, I've bought 3 of this specific kind of cassette in HG guise, used them for road, CX, and commuting. It's a solid-performing ultralight cassette for the price. I'll echo the sentiment that they aren't as refined, but I haven't managed to put noticeable wear into any of my units so far. Very well explained! I'll take these into considerations! Thanks! Re: Chinese cycling clothes
so I ordered a YKYWBIKE 3/4 bib during the Anniversary sale and it just arrived yesterday. The quality is so good, especially the Elastic Interface chamois. One thing I noticed though is that I possibly derped when I ordered it, not knowing it was for women But hey, it still fits great! April 03, 2024, 09:06:06 AM |

Re: YBN not available to Canada
Does anyone know why YBN 11 and 12 speed chains aren't available to ship to Canada now? I'm running into the same issues with a lot of items I wanted to get but won't ship to Canada. Anyhow, I've got this YBN chain in my cart for a while now. Hope this helps! https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005005504952160.html April 03, 2024, 03:48:52 PM |

Re: Any good bar tape out there?
Cinelli Cork Ribbon is the gold standard IMO if you want a firm, “dry” (instead of rubbery/tacky) but grippy feel. the closest to Cinelli Cork I can think of is Deda Traforato at 2.7mm (40g only!) i use this and i love it! also, it might not be like Cinelli Cork but check Lizard Skins dsp v2 with sizes 1.8mm, 2.5mm, 3.2mm and 4.6mm April 17, 2024, 08:32:59 AM |
