If I were building a new mountain bike today, the choice between a Shimano and SRAM 1x11 drivetrain would be more difficult. However, since I switched from being a Shimano guy to a SRAM guy for my last two 1x setups, I probably will not switch back on future builds.
I did a Google image search for Hollywood rack, and was quite disappointed by the results
Which one did you get? Their 4 bike rack looks good- I really like that you can take off half of it when you only need to carry one or two bikes.
Bdub, sorry I missed your post! Yes, still very happy with the Swagman rack. It's easy for my wife to use it as well, since you only have to lift the bikes about 2 feet off the ground- she's got a big, stretched out cruiser bike that is large and awkward to lift.
I've since purchased a new platform rack, when mounted the bike wheels are now well above and away from the exhaust pipe. I still think about it when I load my Chiner with carbon wheels on the rack though.
What rack did you get as a replacement?

Only one rider saw what happened, we both laughed it off.
