Which bottom bracket did you finally order ? The one coming with Next SL I suppose ?

Yes, dropout are replacable and you can ask for any variation

I seriously doubt it. Well, there was 68mm BSA as well in MTB, but nowadays most manufacturers stick to 73mm with modern design. Anyway, shorter crank spindle or some shims can solve it.

Non-threaded here: http://problemsolversbike.com/files/tech/Bottom_Bracket_Standards_Reference.pdf
Add BSA that is threaded, 73mm wide and for 24mm spindle and you have mostly everything covered.

Maybe not immediately, but I would suggest checking tension on your wheels. Bikestacja has great prices but the lacing skills of the people there are not the highest (I have on set from them for about 6 years now)

BB30 has 30mm spindle, while most of BSA cranks have 24mm. Also, dividing into those 2 standards is a very crude approximation as there are more variables as type of bearing shells, bb width etc

As far as I know BB92 cranks have the same spindle diameter as most BSA cranks (24mm).  The BB shell width is 91.5mm in the BB92 system (with the bearings inside the frame, you should probably measure that yourself to be sure, as there were some 86.5mm shells too). BSA is 73mm wide, so if you find external bearings with 18.5 mm width total, it should work just fine. THM should have some, maybe aerozine as well.

29+ & 27+ / Re: Can 29er MTB frame assembled with 27.5er wheels?
« on: July 29, 2015, 12:35:33 PM »
From what I understood the actual issue is the real BB height over ground, which is the equal to the radius of wheel with tire minus bb offset. When the rim size is decreased, the way for the BB to stay on the same height over the ground is either to change frame to a one with smaller offset or have tires with higher profile. Obviously, sticking to the same frame makes only latter viable. As mentioned earlier, change of less than 2cm coming form the wheels shouldn't be a big deal and fat tires should alleviate for at least half of the difference .

Difference in rim Radius between 650B and 29er is 19mm , you'd have to measure how much higher is 3" tire over standard one, probably around 10mm difference, the rest will be BB height change so around 1cm of it.

I plan to do exactly the same on my Chiner in the works, XX1 cassette, XTR shifter and der. and KMC X11SL chain. Also, check CRC, they have some sales ATM and are probably cheaper than R2

IP-256 is almost exact copy of Scott Scale 9XX Carbon series, you should find stack and reach on Scott webpage.

The inner cage can be replaced according to SRAM manual, the outer is integrated. Found some replacements, but it's only inner cage as well: http://www.fibre-lyte.co.uk/fl/fl_cycles_carbon_gear_mech.html
