Title: Peter left xmiplay, but still in business
Post by: MTB2223 on March 17, 2015, 10:00:58 AM
As the most of us know, Peter has left xmiplay. He leaves because he spent the most effort and energy into the company without any extra rewards.

Talked to him a lot last weeks. He told me he had to travel 3 hours to the office, stays there for the week and at the end of the week he travels back home to his pregnant wife Bella. He was one of the co-owners of xmiplay. Because he's the one who's putting the most effort and energy into the company without extra reward, he decided to leave the company and starts a new company (with Bella).
I told him that his selling point was/is the good and quick communication and the service he offers (most of the time ;) ). He will continuing this.
He has a lot of new ideas to make his company to a success.

So, Peter isn't gone, he's still in business. Within some weeks there is a new website and a new company name.

If you have question for Peter, you can contact him by email or skype:
email: petercycles@foxmail.com
skype: peterxu1206

His new account on ChinerTown: Peter Xu (http://chinertown.com/index.php?action=profile;u=966) (his real name)

He have some 256 SL, 057, 106 29er frames in stock. Please contact him if you want to know more.

^^ I think you posted in the wrong thread?

Assuming you meant to post in your thread about waiting on your frame to arrive? : http://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,519.0.html

Previously Ahija's posts have been about not receiving his frame from Peter so I guess he is just providing an update that he has received his frame and is starting his build.  I assume future posts should be in the IP-057 build thread or maybe he will start a new thread for his particular build now that he has 5 posts on Chinertown.

Exactly this. Just wanted to let you guys know that my frame arrived and everything went well with my order from peter.
Didn't want to be a bad light shining in peters direction because of my last post. He did everything he could for me to get my frame delivered.

I was able to just place an order with Peter for an .057 + wheels and everything else I need from him to build a bike. I contacted him directly through his email. I chose to go through him directly due to his reputation on this forum. I did order a 3K gloss frame which has a 2 month lead time so I will let you know how it goes.

Good choice on the IP-057, been very happy with mine.  Glad to see Peter getting some business but it's too bad about the 2 month lead time.  Hopefully they can ship a little sooner as the riding season is here, well at least in the Southern part of the US.

The website is coming along very nicely!  I do wonder if adding pricing information to the website, like Yoeleo bikes or Light-bikes does, would be good for business.  People don't always want to wait for a quote when shopping.

Dunno about everyone else, but his site is FAR quicker to load and respond than the old XMIPlay website. Nice to see he's got the fat bike frames loaded up as I might be stepping up project fatty to the next level soon. :D

Off course it is  ;D, the website is located in the USA (Missouri - North Kansas City - Dsc). Told Peter to choose a web hoster with fast internet. And here in the Netherlands, it's pretty fast.

Sounds like you have his ear and have been giving him excellent advice, keep it up! Also thanks for the back story, good to know.

There is one 26" frame on the website.

Peter's website is coming along nicely, seems to be well populated with products.
