Re: Tan Tan GR040 Build Just wanted to mention my exp with ZRace RX crankset.  The spindle was not long enough for the teeth to lock in place and there was movement in the cranks.  Was really looking forward to using it.  Looks great, well made but unfortunately either I got a flawed unit or the design is defective.

Looking forward to both your reviews.

Re: Carbonda CWRD44C Rim I have them, purchased in 2020.  Nothing special- Does its job.  I have 44mm WTB raddlers on them.  What would you like to know? Carbonda ships them separately so separate shipping charge.   I got them with Novatecs and pillar 1423 to keep the cost down.  Came up to $395 usd before shipping.  They had dtswiss hubs 240 and 350, spokes pillar wing 20 and sapim cx-ray options.

ZRace RX crankset - broken After ~3000km, they've decided to die.  I've not been particularly gentle or rough on them, used them like I would any crankset - rain or shine, road or gravel.  I was on my trainer with them just starting my session and it gave way at 350 watts, something like that.

Re: ZRace RX crankset - broken
That could've caused a major wipeout on the road/trail.
Is this more likely to be a design flaw, or low quality alloy issue?

Need an expert to chime in.

Some closeups.

Re: ZRace RX crankset - broken
I wouldn't go as far as expert but I have a little bit of knowledge of this kind of things. If you could get some good close up photos of the two faces if you can get them apart that might be helpful. Make sure to indicate which side is the pedal side.

Non-drive side.  Had to grab a monkey wrench to bend the piece off- you can see where I just broke it off.  Aluminum shavings probably from me trying to get pedal off - pedal extender threads are perfectly fine.

Before anybody says it first- it's time to cut my nails.   ;D

Re: WheelTop EDS TX Full Wireless Groupset (Chinese SRAM)
what kind of hardware comes with the group? ltwoo er9 comes with well over a dozen different bolts for the brakes, as well as 140 & 160 adaptors for both front and rear. In contrast it seems that shimano really skimps on hardware, which i find so incredibly $hitty of them.

Enough to screw the caliper to adapter and adapter to frame  No spares.

Re: WheelTop EDS TX Full Wireless Groupset (Chinese SRAM) Welp, I finally got around to installing it but front derailluer's adjustment screw doesn't work screw hole has its threads stripped....  Sigh.  Since I bought it off AliExpress, the options given to me where to ship it back for repair or replacement and they'll only cover $20 for the shipping.  What a pain.  I think I'll just retap it myself with larger pitch threads and grub screw to match.

I've retapped the hole and went up to an M5 size.  Not totally satisfied with my job.  The Aluminum they've used is really soft which was somewhat disappointing and stainless steel grub screws will just eat it up.  Another worry is galvanic corrosion... oh well, we'll see how it holds up.  I might do a thread insert instead to eliminate my worry of it stripping again from use.  That said, I've dialed it in and given it a quick ride -  super happy with the shifting and performance of everything.  So far so good.
