Out of curiosity, what makes this geo outdated? The standard shock mounting isnt ideal, but otherwise its similar to this one I believe?

Existence of Transition bikes and fm936 does :-)
Difference in FC between old and new is quite substantial

I also dont know what to think about this "modern geo" craziness. I am currently riding bike with stone age geo (HTA 70, STA 72). I feel like a dinosaur riding it. I dont know how i can even not trip on that steep HTA.

I also got LCFS713 for my new bike. Even through its not up to date geo (HTA 66.5 STA 75) as I think its nice compromise between aggressive descent geometry and uphill performance. Also big brands agree as most recent Trek Fuel EX and Orbea Occam didn't got the 64ish HTA.

I think its a bit of misuse of word modern. As its just that aggressive downhill geo is applied to trail bikes. Ill call that aggressive. Modern XC racing bikes are still on HTA around 68. That are the racing tools for professional riders. Shall we call them outdated?
