Re: Which crankset fits BB92 Bottom bracket for AM831? Any bb92 bottom bracket for 22mm cranks will work for what you need. Shimano and RaceFace will both work with those BBs.  The ZTTO screw together BB92 is a decent one, especially if replacing the bearings.  A Shimano XT BB92 will only be $20-30 if you want to go that direction.

Re: Hardcore Hardtails? A few XLs - all for 100mm travel.  Switching to a 140mm fork shifts angles, slackens ST and HT angles, raises bb, incites anger in purists, and causes cosmic anomalies.  However, it might make the frame closer to a hardcore hardtail.

Re: Want to build up a MTB-ish Gravel or Gravel-ish MTB. Please help! A challenge with the MTB frame route is limitation on front chainring size.  Most likely it is 36T or smaller.  Gravel frames will have something similar to 46T.
