So I had been planning on a building a china carbon road bike at some point, but I've also been perusing my local Craigslist for bikes that are the right size and price.
Well, Friday I picked up a used 2001 Litespeed Classic. (http://i794.photobucket.com/albums/yy230/325racer/Mobile%20Uploads/2015-07/IMAG1622_zpsiplscryz.jpg)

I'm about to go the same way.
Wait a season on how the disc brakes, electronic shifting(SRAM soon?), axle standards settle down.
And discover on the cheap, if I like road rides.
My only worry now, is sizing for an online purchase.
I've filled various online forms that give me a rather imprecise range between 54 and 58cm frame size.
But here it is generally possible to see the bike live and try it.
Unlike a Chinese frame.

Very nice find. How much did it cost you?

The seller ended up taking $990. It's only a 9 speed rear cassette, but I was previously riding my fathers 7 speed and it seemed to have plenty of range for what I needed.
Being Ti, this should ride quite nice and last forever. I may some day upgrade to modern 11 speed stuff, but I'm not in a hurry for that. I may eventually add a China carbon wheelset a little down the road.
The cool thing I found out is that it has a Shimano Flight Deck computer, while not modern and I can't download to my PC the control buttons are built into the brake hoods!

Very nice!

Hard to beat a Ti frame for durability and maintaining its looks. I've got a 2002 Airborne Zeppelin, not nearly as fancy as a Litespeed, but what I love is that with some steel wool, it looks as good as new, and I never have to worry about rain or anything. :D
