Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets
Well, you haven't had it for that long so too early to tell, I'd say.
Mine's also working fine still all the way through a very wet winter here. I'm past 3000k/1800miles now. I too am cautiously optimistic that I might have a well working unit. But so thought SergeK, until they all broke down on him.

Exactly... Until everything went to shit i was saying the stuff's amazing.
I charged / tried to charge my group last night after it died yesterday. Charged all night. This morning it was at 77%. Plugged into the wall, no funny business. So... idk. I doubt it's supposed to take more than 12h to fully charge. Which then means there's something that's not working properly. But i'm not in the mood to try to figure it out now.
i have put 3500km on the er9 on my road bike since Feb24.

Re: Interesting Aliexpress finds! - good deals, interesting stuff, new products etc!
Wait so you had TWO failures with the er9 groupset and you still went ahead and got five? Or am I not reading this correctly.

"Happy as long as it's not broken" is not good enough, any failure during a 100+km ride is something that will ruin your day, and something that very rarely happens with groupsets from the big three.

i bought 5 groups at the same time. i had 4 bikes to build and i bought a spare one in case one would be dead on arrival or self destruct immediately. Built the 4 bikes, everything was fine for weeks, i then received a frame to review so i put the spare group on that. After weeks of "this stuff is wonderful", all hell started to break loose. The 2 dead RDs aren't the only problems i've had either. Had another problem yesterday i posted on the erx/9 dedicated thread.

Re: Tavelo Aero Frame The 3rd video of China Cycling on the Shanghai show says that Tavelo is a very frothy brand in China, with a huge social media following, sponsored teams and so on. So that must command a significant price premium, even if that's completely invisible to the west.

Re: Yuanan Carbon fiber wheelsets Year end discount promotion i would say 32mm wide, 50mm deep. Or even 34mm wide. I guess a vote on the forum could be useful.
I think 50mm is deep enough without being too deep for most guys in most situations. If you sell a lot to women & small riders, then maybe a shallower version too.
if 32mm wide, 30C tyre is probably idea, but you can probably be fine with both a 28C as well as 32C.
If 34mm wide, you can put 30 or 32C and should have a perfect tyre to rim transition.
I think steel bearings are fine because to my best knowledge, ceramic bearings for cycling applications make no sense.
No wavy rims.

Re: Workswell WCB R 326 Came across that one http://www.adapt-bikes.com/Products-detail?product_id=101
Looks like it has some of the aero features you're after.

Re: Tavelo Aero Frame The chris miller podcast from a day or 2 ago was interesting, giving the perspective of experienced racers with regards to expensive chinese brands with western backed aero claims. Among other things, the old "if it's expensive it's got to be good" was mentioned, and as cringe as it may be to some, it often rings true to many, and that's how some brands manage to command a premium for no tangible / dubious reason(s).

Re: New frame: Longteng RD301-D Well logically, assuming the 100mm measurement is consistent (there's the question of whether 100mm in cockpit stem length is the same as 100mm in standalone stem length), assuming the stem angle is consistent (not all cockpits have the same stem angle, and your Scott stem has a stem angle), assuming both bars are about the same geometry (not all bars / cockpits have the same reach, drops...), then if you pick a 100mm cockpit, your position should mirror the new frame (stack & reach) geometry, so you should be lower (15mm) and closer (11mm) - btw 110mm is 11cm, i assume you mean 11 & 15, not 110 & 150. The stack is easy to adjust with spacers. The top tube of the 301 being shorter, in principle, you should get a 110mm cockpit.

Re: LTWOO ER9 & ERX - Electronic groepsets I really like these emonda looking frames. If you ever see one capable of taking 32C, please message me.
I actually rode today with a guy who has a 6000 EUR emonda di2. Such a nice bike. He's an ex pro so in my book he's allowed to spend 6k on a bike :p
