Hi Everyone
How many of you have a carbon Seat post and Stem with handlebars carbon? Are there safe? will they crack?
Im just a bit worried.

I've got a carbon seatpost, stem and handlebar. Bought it on AliExpress and no issues with it, except the saddle clamp of the seat post became loose (see http://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,184.msg2838.html#msg2838 ).
It's strong and light enough. no worries.

I have 3 sets of bars and a seatpost, no stems though (just not much weight savings going cabon). No issues, light and inexpensive.

When something breaks, people are vocal about it the forums.
If you look after them, you will surely find broken carbon parts reports.
However the silent majority of us here have no problem with our Chinese seatpost, stem and bars.
I guess, we all order the frame, then look around on the vendor web site.
See those cheap parts that will come in the same box as the frame, so we try and stick with them.

I'm about 230 fully kitted out, riding full rigid in stuff that most are on full suspension.
Did not do Carbon stem for the above mentioned not worth it for the weight.

Got carbon bars and seat post - but turns out I needed a 400mm post and only ordered a 350 so it just sits there now. :)
Bars have been fine, although the angle on them seems strange. Also got risers and they seem to rise more than I might have expected. Still, light, and no issues.

I got cheap carbon bars off aliexpress. I haven't ridden them yet, however I did a "test" by clamping them in a stem and hanging onto them, doing pull-ups and generally shaking myself. They did not even start to flex, so I would say they are quite strong

Can anyone tell what sweep angle these bars have? That info seems to be missing on most of the ones I've seen. Looking for something like the standard 9 - 10 degrees...

I search some information on internet and find out good stem with handlebar carbon is really important to you if you want to ride bicycle comfortably you must consider carefully. The properties of carbon fibers, such as high stiffness, high tensile strength, low weight, high chemical resistance, high temperature tolerance and low thermal expansion. So you needn't worry about that. Good quality will not crack! Just to keep the thread going, I ordered a 27.2 setback seatpost on August 20th and received it today, August 31st. I purchased it from eBay seller "cfbstore" for $26.99 with free shipping. The frame isn't back from the sign shop yet so no word on if it fits but so far everything seems great. Surprisingly at 172 grams, it came in well under the advertised weight of 200 grams plus or minus 10 grams. There are two things to note though. One is that it is advertised as UD Matte finish. When actually it is painted flat black. You can not see any of the fibers but when looking up through the bottom, you can see the 3k weave that was used. Second, is the shipping. It came in a timely manner and the packaging seemed sufficient. But when you see it, you will know. :o

After getting so close to buying an 036 full suspension frame from Peter, I bought two sets of handlebars, the B7 flat bar and the B4 flat bar. The B7 was $35 and is supposed to be stronger because of dimples on the front - I got that in 720mm for my new bike, and the B4 is a more conventional straight bar that I got in 700mm for my wife's bike. She's been running 580mm Easton EC90 bars for a long time and is finally ready to try wider bars. We'll start at the 700mm size which should be faaaar too wide, and cut it down until she thinks it feels right. At that point I'll probably swap out name brand bars in that width.

Hey cmh, I'm interested in any more info you can share about these bars. Do they have a standard sweep angle (~9°)? How do they look (finish, quality, etc.)? Did you get weights on them?

They look like a standard sweep - I didn't measure them at all, but they look like what I'd have expected.
Didn't weigh the B4 bars before I cut them down to 680mm - and have since cut them down to 660mm, as they're for my wife's bike, who has been running 580mm bars for a good long time.
The finish looks really good, zero complaints there, nice and understated.
Here are the bars installed on her bike (at 680mm width) with her old Easton EC90 580mm bars on top for reference. :)

I'll be able to weigh and get some photos of the B7 bars soon - they're at home and I'm not... Don't know what I think of the divots on the front of the bars, we'll see about that.

Sorry, haven't really followed up on this.
Not sure I love the B7 bar, the things on the front are strange. It is light, for sure, confirmed ~140g just like it says on the site.

One thing - the angle isn't nearly as much as the bars that came on my Epic... lining up the clamp area, you can see how much of a difference this is at the end of the bars:

That's a pretty big difference, you'd need a significantly different stem length to account for it. (yes, the photo isn't lined up perfectly)
Nothing wrong with the bars, but I much prefer the more understated look of the B4 bar, which was $5 less.

That's really good to know about the angle. When I was ordering my CS-041 frame from Peter I almost ordered one of those bars, but decided not to because he didn't know the sweep angle. I like a sweep of at least 9 degrees. It's surprising how many of the chinese carbon dealers don't have the sweep angle listed for their bars. For now I'll keep looking on ebay and Pinkbike for used carbon bars from known manufacturers.

What width and price point are you looking for? If you want something between 750 and 800 wide, and don't mind buying a new stem, Amazon has some Easton Havoc 35's left for $79. I grabbed one and a 70mm Haven stem for $132 shipped. Pretty reasonable for name brand bar & stem.

Thanks for the tip! I'm looking at something just a little wider than my current bar. I'm at 685, so thinking 700 - 720. I can't go wider due to tight trees, and don't think it would be comfortable. I'd like to stick with standard 31.8 bars so I can swap out easily.
