Avoid OG-Evkin Official Store on Aliexpress So, I hoped it would not come to this, but after this seller "OG-EVKIN Official Store" has been playing with me for about 6 weeks, I want to warn other potential buyers to stay away from this seller.

I bought a OG-Evkin CF-052 hardtail frame in November of 2022. There was a small crack in the BB area from the beginning, but when I examined it again in June of 2023 (after only 500km and a hand full of rides) the crack had gotten a lot bigger.
Since there is 2 year warranty I contacted the store and sent them pictures. Since then it has been nothing but empty promises (lies?) and long silences from them.

In the first week all they did was ask to sent the pictures to their email, which I did. Nothing much happened after that. I sent multiple messages, but none were answered. After I sent a first mail to Aliexpress customer service they finally answered and proposed to send a new frame, but a size smaller and I would have to pay for shipping. I agreed to that since I am between sizes. They day after they said they would send the payment link the next day, but they never sent it, not even after I asked them multiple times.
A couple of days later they proposed to send a different model of frame (probably because it was in stock in Spain so it would be cheaper for them). Since it is a very different model, I can not use it and I declined the offer and I asked again for the payment link. They said they were going to send it on Monday, which they never did.
They never sent the link, but assured me they were working on the frame. The factory was painting the frame according to them. This would take a week. Because again I heard nothing, I kept asking them about a status update but they did not really answer anymore.
A couple of days ago they asked me to add them to whatsapp. Since that seems to be against Aliexpress regulation, I asked to keep the conversation going on Ali chat. They responded with a weird message which I interpret as "If you don't want to communicate over whatsapp it ends here"

I am really p*ssed at them and very frustrated for leading me on all these weeks like that.

In the last days, I have asked them if my frame is ready. They just say "No". I asked when it will be shipped and now they just say they don't know. So it seems they are giving me the finger and all their promises were just to keep me busy until I finally gave up... >:(

Re: Nich Cycling (Thailand) - Legend4 Frameset - UCI Approved -Nich Cycling Legend4 frameset costs $2800usd.
-Montecci Bikes is charging $3000usd for their Vegter frameset which is essentially a Winspace T1500.
-The brand Pro Race Bike is selling their version of Yishun R086-D complete build (mechanical hydro) for $4800:o

$1580 retail is not an unreasonable mark up outside the vacuum of this forum. This is the price of the original Winspace T1500. The paint quality, fit finish, and presentation from Winspace is every bit as good as on my Giant Propel, Allez Sprint, and Yoeleo R12. Plus Panda Podium is assuming warranty and customer service.

No matter how much I advocate for affordable $400-$600 frames/wheels on my YouTube channel, my most popular videos by a significant margin are always my Winspace/Elite Wheels/Giant/Specialized videos.

Re: Elves Falath EVO 2023
I sincerely hope for your sake that you aren't so pathetic and passive aggressive in your actual life. Chances are you are just as pathetic and defeated, though. Pretty common among kids these days.

I hope you see the irony in this. One guy says he bought the frame, I said that's good and you short your fuse. Bro you need some serious help.
Anyway I am taking your advice and moving on (from your comments at least).

Re: Elves Falath EVO 2023 I'm not going to delete or moderate anything, I just want to ask you all to please try and keep it respectful. Feel free to disagree with each other but leave the name-calling out of it, we don't want that type of discourse here.

Re: Another Seaboard GR02 I'm really enjoying this bike. I built it up as a commuter but I've taken it on a few of the local dirt roads. I also brough it along on a trip to Las Vegas and rode the bike path from Boulder City down to the Hoover Dam. It handles really well. It feels much more like a road bike than my Carbonda 707, although the 707 is far better on rougher trails. The Seaboard would be a great frame for an all-road / light gravel build.

Re: Converting rim brakes wheels to disc brakes Hi all
If i refer to Yuananbike.com which is teh manufacturer for elitewheels, it look likes that the rim itself can be either used as rimbrake or Disc brake
https://www.yuananbike.com/product/carbon-fiber-cycle-rims-38mm-depth-road-rims.

This put aside, from your posts i understand that :
- nipple angles might be different due to hub width
- hub might be difficult to find for front wheel (20 spokes)

to answer some of the questions :
Why not selling :  rim brake track can be used (not new)  and Chinese wheel don't have a great resell value
Why bothering :  i don't want to have another wheel set sitting in the garage  :),
for the glory of lacing a wheel by my self ?
for the same reason  i purchased a chiner bike and assmbled it :)

based on all your comments , i'm not sure to move forward with this project, still interesting discussion.

stupid comment : it's a botch that can end with death => Only if i use brakes  :)  ;)

Re: Elitewheels Drive 50D --> Rim Failure Only seeing this now. Curious as well to know how things went.
The pictures very much look like delamination. Very odd.
For comparison, a friend (he weighs 2.5 ants) crashed during a race last summer and broke 2 Farsports wheels, photos attached. He says he was drafting and slammed right into a curb at 40kmh, something like that. Let's say he definitely felt the crash :)

Re: Another Seaboard GR02
I've recently build up my seaboard gr02, in the special Blue/Purple glitter color way they have. Tbh the color is a bit too much for be, but oh well. This will be my main commuter, do any of you happen to have found fitting mudguards for the rainy days?

https://imgur.com/a/nDHRAqR

Build specs:

9.2 Kg
Cockpit: canyon h18 and stem (Had as spare, used an adaptor for 1 1/4 to 1 1/8)
Bartape: Og-evkin (Actually feels really good, paid 8 usd)
Wheels: Koozer cx1800 (Build seems pretty impressive for the price)
Tires: GP Urban 35C
Groupset: Sensah Team pro shifters, 105 r7000 rear derailleur, Shimano Cues u6000 42t Crankset
Brakes: Illpro flatmount semi-hydraulic, 160 illpro disc rear, sram centerline 180 in the front
Seatpost: Tooseek super light
Saddle: Ryet ultimate full carbon eva finish (Only 110 gram, and feels really comfy)
Others: 105 cassette, dura-ace 11 speed chain (Acutally bought a kmc chain from ali, but turned out to be a fake :/ )

Overall really happy with this frame

Nice looking build. Curious to hear how those Koozer wheels hold up over time.

Re: Lightcarbon: New LCR017-D (or Yishun R1058-D)
Got roasted for opening a new thread regarding this frame. Moving the info here

Don't worry, the guy who made the comment often sounds like a dick. I don't mind either way if you post on that thread or as a standalone one, I doubt I'm an outlier, as a detailed thread can be helpful.
Anyhow. Looking forward to seeing your build! What kind of lead time have they announced?
