Re: Velobuild VB-R-168 Frame
Hello all, About Sizing: Why you should go for a 52 on the 168 I dont understand. This is way smaller. Have you compared the bikes on geometrygeeks.bike? I went for the 168 as I wanted to have something in between climbing and aero. You may be aware of the integrated stem/bar combo as it's like the Metron 5d with foward bend. Color: You order, then get a mail by chris with your color wishes and send him pantone codes. Then you get a mockup to approve, tada! Shipping to Germany: Go for XDB. No additional taxes as it comes via Belgium or Netherlands to Germany. November 24, 2022, 09:40:46 AM |

Re: Velobuild VB-R-168 Frame
Just received a size 52 frame in matte black with the separate bar and stem. https://imgur.com/a/F90D6Bd Which seatpost did you order? I can only find SL7 fitting ones, which does not the 168. Thanks December 01, 2022, 04:27:19 AM |

Re: Velobuild VB-R-168 Frame
My frame arrived also right before christmas. Painting was ok. Fork was obviously painted twice. Saw a different color below, FM points need to be cleared from paint. I asked for a pantone into raw carbon fade. Which they did not do completely. Every joint was coated black, so its just some carbon visible. Started the build today... unluckily I need to stop as they forgot to put the compression ring into the package Any advice for a suitable replacement which is commonly available? Thanks December 26, 2022, 11:26:01 AM |

Re: Velobuild VB-R-168 Frame
Built mine. The paint quality was ok, especially the fork was not too good. One nose close to the racecrown and had to machine some clear coat off the dropouts to fit the hub in. Fork also was repainted as I had some different color below. The mounting points of the brakes also must be cleared from excessive paint. But ride quality is good! More comfortable than my previous venge February 18, 2023, 02:42:56 AM |

Re: Velobuild VB-R-168 Frame
Discovered today, Chris informed. Let’s see what we are going to do. No Crash or something happened. Just 2000 down on the road. No turbo trainer. September 19, 2023, 03:19:07 PM |

Re: 3D Printed Saddles
Its the first time happening to me. The bib is quite expensive, as its a 7mesh. They are aware of the problem and suggest a short on top. Luckily they replace it, at least once. Tomorrow I go for another spin and try some different position on the bike. March 03, 2024, 02:36:19 PM |
