Which Disc-Wheels??? 65 mm height / Tubeless / min. 21 mm innerwidth / TA Hi Community,

I am currently looking for a wheelset for my aero setup.
Delivery to Germany.

I have currently identified the Elitewheels Edge (https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005004767705476.html?gps-id=pcStoreLeaderboard&scm=1007.22922.271278.0&scm_id=1007.22922.271278.0&scm-url=1007.22922.271278.0&pvid=111ebf40-5f6f-43ad-b4ea-3f81c69c7edc&_t=gps-id%3ApcStoreLeaderboard%2Cscm-url%3A1007.22922.271278.0%2Cpvid%3A111ebf40-5f6f-43ad-b4ea-3f81c69c7edc%2Ctpp_buckets%3A668%232846%238115%232000&pdp_npi=3%40dis%21EUR%21938.26%21694.31%21%21%21%21%21%40211b600d16904410479265814e0c61%2112000030399465986%21rec%21DE%214627672901&spm=a2g0o.store_pc_home.smartLeaderboard_2006113525867.1005004767705476&gatewayAdapt=glo2deu) as my favourite.
They are VERY affordable at around 600 euros / $550 - including tax and shipping.
And are supposedly very light and even stiff.

Does anyone here have any recent experience with the wheels?

They are only available on Aliexpress and not on the official Elitewheels site.

Otherwise, I would be very grateful for other suggestions in this price range?

I had some "Lightcarbon" wheels (https://www.lightcarbon.com/lightcarbon-road-wheels-c52db-ratchet-hub-disc-brake-road-carbon-wheels_p218.html)  in mind (52DB-RD28-55C-1423 Disc - Sapim CX-Ray - centre lock 12/100mm TA 12/142mm - 1540g - US$469 + shipping taxes US$147 = TOTAL US$616 = 567 €)
But these only have a rim height of 55mm and are a bit heavier :-P

I do NOT want carbon spokes.
Otherwise, as described in the title: approx. 65 mm height / tubeless / min. 21 mm innerwidth.
and preferably as light and stiff as possible :-)

thank you for your help!

Re: Which frame could it be? BALDISO Air Flight One
It looks a lot like the Workswell WCB-R-306

https://www.workswellbikes.com/race/wcb-r-306-disc-brake.html

Especially with the angular top bit of the seatstays.

Insanly good looking frame and very light according to the workswell website.

I actually already had this on the screen, but the Gemoetrie table does not fit.
But visually I find it very similar from the photos.

Re: Hygge Aero Carbon Frame the thing is that most Chinese frame/bike builders are not able to take aesthetic pictures of their products.

The angles of the finished bikes are always so bad... it looks like the handlebars are pointing like a pretzel towards the sky...

... yes - and yours look just fantastic ;-)

They could fly you in as a photographer and pay you handsomely (in whatever form) - you seem to like your work.

Re: Which Disc-Wheels??? 65 mm height / Tubeless / min. 21 mm innerwidth / TA
Until today, the Edge model from Elitewheels can be bought for less than EUR 500, taxes included.  1495gr for 65mm.

https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005005862855014.html?aff_fcid=3d89dec2a2294f988a7e018aa705a76e-1693203653037-00680-_DlHW8F1&tt=CPS_NORMAL&aff_fsk=_DlHW8F1&aff_platform=shareComponent-detail&sk=_DlHW8F1&aff_trace_key=3d89dec2a2294f988a7e018aa705a76e-1693203653037-00680-_DlHW8F1&terminal_id=f59f9c6474c248a4ac5688da1c637a21&afSmartRedirect=y
There are some -100 EUR coupons laying around (ES100 for Spain, for example)

i did it.

I took advantage of the Ali discount week and ordered on Friday.

With the BTS32 discount code and the current discount due to the promotion at Aliexpress, I'm currently paying $538.04 including tax and shipping via the SellersShipping method, which I'll pay with my credit card, and after conversion I'll end up with €495.57...

And that for 65 mm high rims with 21 mm jaw width with a set weight of 1495g ... unbelievable.

They wrote to me after the order that they are happy - but that I have to extend the delivery time by 15 days, otherwise they can't manage the order and have to cancel it.

Since I don't need the wheels until next year, that's fine and I'll wait 3 months instead of 2.

I will report on my experiences.

Re: Yishun R086-D Aero Road
Yishun is building me a set of these wheels to test. They should be delivered this week:

https://www.yishunbike.com/product/rbd50c/

Model 206DB-RBD50C
-Arch Bridge design (think ENVE/Princeton)
-50mm Depth
-Ext Width 30mm, Int Width 23mm  8)
-Pillar Wing 20 Spokes
-Straight pull hubs w/ ENDURO bearings, 36T star ratchet (DT style)
-Claimed weigh around 1490g

From Yishun:
"Net price 539 usd + delivery cost 100 usd around, we sell to others."

My Winspace Hyper D67 wheels are my road favorite wheels. However, they are freaking $1500 now  :o
I recently have been testing Magene's latest DB508 Ultra wheels with 23mm internal width and let me tell you - this has been a game changer for me. The comfort of 23mm width internal is superior to 21mm because of the wider contact patch the tire has to the road. And you can run slightly lower tire pressure.

I say this to say that I'm really looking forward to these Yishun wheels. They should easily become my most versatile set of wheels for both road and gravel. And I think for the price, they will give Yoeleo and other sub-$1000 wheels a run for their money. Xiamen wheel builders (Yishun, Wheelsfar, Light Bicycle) offer some of the best value for wheels. However, the majority of the wheel expense come from using brand name hubs like DT Swiss or Chris King. I have found that the recent star ratchet design Xiamen wheel builders are using are just as good. And MUCH cheaper.

Exactly these wheels I have also been offered!

Allround Performance Bike Build Hi @all,

I am just finishing the build of my Aerobike - it has become an Ican A40. I'll open a separate thread for that though.

Now, however, I would like to build a complete all-round performance bike next. It should be aerodynamic, but still ready for climbing.
The Tarmac SL7/8 and the Giant TCR fall into the same category.

It should please be from a reputable frame manufacturer and not a Velobuild, etc....

I thought I had found what I was looking for at Hygge, but after the latest findings I want to distance myself from this company.

I have already had the following frames under the magnifying glass:
Speeder sc52, yishun 1058-D light version, or adapt at-b01?
Speeder doesn't deliver the frame to Germany, Yishun doesn't sell to the end user or it takes 3-6 months and the lighter Version is not available at the moment. Adapt also normally does not sell directly and only accepts bank transfer to an account in Hong Kong in US dollars (that was too much for my Deutsche Bank... or it just costs immense fees...).

Do you guys have anything else in mind?
28mm tyre width or more, disc, fully integrated cable routing and 38cm wide handlebars.
I had the Giant TCR in M/L until an accident and I sat perfectly on it.

I also found a frame at Tantan ... But I don't know what to think of them....
The TT-X33 is pretty much identical to the SL7... but does it behave the same way? and is the quality satisfactory?

I would spend up to $1,000.... preferably with a custom paint job.... but that's not a 100% must.

Thank you for your help!
