Re: TI Frame. Mistake on front derailleur mount (welded instead of screwed) Ok, it turned out quite well actually and they accepted some discount for the mistake and change of plans. So yes, for now I can keep my recommendation on this manufacturer (Waltly)

ENEP's YishunBike G095-D build thread Hello everybody!

Thought I'd share my build process of a Yishunbike G095-D. This is my first go with gravel. I've mostly been riding XC MTB last few years and also been dipping my toes in road biking. The G095 will be used for both gravel and road riding using two different wheel sets.

Here we have a size 56 Yishunbike G095-D with integrated handlebar "HB068" in 400mm width and 110mm stem. Painted glossy black by YishunBike. I bought the frame second hand locally in unused condition. Therefore can't say to much about YishunBikes pre sales support, handling and shipping. However I've been in touch with Kitty from YishunBike for some after sales support like spareparts and another handlebar. Kitty's is great to deal with, excellent communication and fast replying.

Frame quality is great. I have nothing to complain about. Bearing seats in headset are beefy and look good. Bottom brackets seems to have been honed in QC. Mounting points for brakes seem to have been faced. They've also masked off important places before painting. Fork bearing seat and brake hose ports are smooth.

Weights, grams:
Frame: 1369 (including hanger, front deraillieur mount, seat post clamp)
Seat post: 167 (uncut, including hardware)
Handlebar: 393 (400x110mm, including bolts for computer mount)
Fork: 459
Thru axles: 64

First ride will not be for a while as we have cold winter for the moment and I went thru surgery three days ago.

Re: Tideace NEW Gravel Frame: GR201 I think its closest to the Trek Checkpoint SL / SLR in terms of geometry comparison.

I pretty much disagree with every comment above regarding geometry. Its more progressive and forward leaning than a lot of other open molds, but the latest Checkpoint geo was pretty well received. This one will be a little sharper due to the higher offset fork and the BB drop is more consistent across sizes so it might feel a little more dart-y in the larger sizes. However a Checkpoint geometry without the isospeed + udh feels like a win too. Stack and reach should be pretty close to the same because Trek includes their headset cover in their geometry and this bike appears not to.

Since we are all critics, i think working the design a bit to squeeze out a couple mm of clearance in the rear would have been nice as it would have allowed for 650bx2.2 / larger 2.1s to fit more comfortably in the frame.

Overall, this would be a top candidate if i was in the market for a gravel bike.

Judging on the pictures I would say the headset is fairly standard. Round and for 52mm bearings. Most generic handlebars will include the necessary spacers.

Yeah, the Nextie G2 is the same as the BXT 135 in which I was also interested - before I read about experiences with them. The frame has also 2mm wider tire clearance which goes for me into the wrong direction as I want max 40mm plus optional 30mm tires. But yes, given the quality of the G2 is good it should be a great alternative.

Regarding your maths. That's true, but I still don't know what the blue line is referring to. It seems so randomly placed. But since it is far from the center of the seat post the real setback could be indeed ~25mm.  :-\ No one caring about geo would buy this frame. Too bad since I really would have liked it.  :(

Re: New Gravel Frame Ican Graro Well, I guess it is the line that runs through the centre of the BB and parallel to the back of the seattube. Since other measurements like seat tube angle and top tube length are also taken off this line it seems to be fair to measure setback with this line.

Re: New Gravel Frame Ican Graro Could be, but I'm not sure about this logic. Then a 0mm setback post would be around +10mm in direction of the head tube. And what about seat posts you can buy separately? They don't have a frame as reference, but still have a defined setback.

Edit: Regarding your theory the setback will be dependent from seat height for bent seat tubes.

You may wonder why I am still sneaking around this frame. Well I really like it and I guess the quality is quite good. Plus with this frame I won't be scared of toe overlap.  ;)
Currently I am undecided whether to take this frame an hope my saddle can be moved forward enough - or the YFR068 in L or XL. But the QA issues scare me off and that I seem to be between the two sizes.
