I forgot to mention. If you're Cat 1, you should be on a team, and should get a team deal. That would put you on a brand frame for less. Given a good price I would always go for a brand frame.

I bet the crack on the seat tube that the youtube review mentioned was related to the seatpost being too short.

I like the look of the one-one space chicken, especially the stealth dropper, but don't want to spend £800 right now.  Is the WCB_R_125 going to make me happy? See:

http://www.planetx.co.uk/i/q/FROOSPCKN/on-one-space-chicken-650--700c-carbon-gravel-frameset
and http://www.workswellbikes.com/PRODDUCT/ROAD/ALL/Gravel/2017/0323/113.html

I'm a bit nervous about the custom seatpost shape, and sad this means no dropper. Has anyone actually built up one of these frames, or are there any other options I should perhaps be considering?

Why would you put a dropper on a road/gravel bike ? How big are your jumps with no suspension.

You can measure it or just read the label on your old one, it will say like 6802, 6901, the letter are the seal types. They are kinda standard. A bearing should last a long long time given no damage to the seal. Very little to worry.

Sizing info here:
https://www.bearingworks.com/bearing-sizes/

I used to order my skateboard bearings here: http://www.vxb.com/

I would go with Bb92 or GXP.
I'm pissed that my bb30 xx1 crankset won't fit my new frame that's bb92.
From what I see most new frames are bb92.

Hi Charlesrg,

I'm trying to understand the problem.

The frame has some flex. Is it that you can't spread the frame apart to accommodate the hub? Or you can't tighten the rear thru-axle because it is too long and you cannot place extra washers to take up the slack?

It seems if the thru-axle is too long, than it is your hub that is too narrow. What kind of hub do you have? My DT-Swiss was fine.

I had to place a spacer in mine so I could adjust the bear brakes. (see my build)

I should not have to spread neither press the frame. The specs is for 142mm with + or - 1.5mm. Mine is 146. It's beyond the spec and I would consider a manufacturer defect. It causes issues with brake , chain line and Derailleur alignment.
I'm trying to see if they can replace the rear triangle.

My IP036 did not have this issue.

I would like to order an extra set of pivot bearings just in case they are hard to find when I will really need them.

Does anyone know if there are bearings in the shock link? I'm having a little trouble communicating with the sales person. It seems like there should be 6 bearings and three bushings. I really don't want to take my bike apart to find out. DengFu sent me this pic. It looks like there are only bearings at the bottom, which means we may have wear problems later if that is true.

I would not worry about bearings. They are easy to get. You can order from RWC or VXB easy.
Just keep a spare derailleur hanger and you should be fine. Rarely someone strips a bolt but I don't think it's worth sticking it.

Have been abusing  my ip036 for almost 3 years with no issues related to those.

Rear wheel axle is bigger than it should be. See the attached picture.

Bike looks good 8).

Is there a way you can measure the head tube angle? I'd be using a 100mm fork too.

The drawings show a 68.5 head angle. Better follow the drawings as my measurements without proper tools will be worst.

Did you also noticed the rear axle space is out of spec ? Mine is super wide, 146mm instead of the standard 142.

Ok, build is complete. I will be changing the seatpost next week but that's all it's missing. Weights 24.6lbs complete including pedals.
Wheels are All Mountain Carbon hookless 35mm wide. Tires are Maxxis Ikon 2.35
Highlights XX1 on Eagle cranks

I can easily make this bike weight 23lbs by changing the XT brakes to XTR and putting my XC wheels on it.

I didn't ride it yet. 3 things to note. Frame Rear wheel axle space is too wide, it's definitely out of spec, should be 142 but its like 146, for a moment I thought the shipped me a boost rear triangle.
The Rear wheel play is much less than the IP036. The play on the IP036 is pretty big, but I still won races with it. It really didn't affected my ride.
The bike geometry is really slack.
Will post more after riding this weekend.

I'm moving the components from my 036 cracked frame.
What happened to your 036 exactly?
First I broke the left seatstay. I replaced it and done another 200 miles on it. Now I've a crack on the junction of the top tube and seat tube. So to replace that it will be major work. Instead of getting another 036 I decided to get this M06 as I thought to be better.
So far I'm very happy with the M06. The hardware junctions are better, I imagine it will have much less play.

New frame just arrived. I will post the build progress here as I go through.
So far the frame arrived and it weights 2070grams.

It will run XX1 on SID XX fork and XT brakes. I'm moving the components from my 036 cracked frame.
