Re: Carbonda fm936 Thoughts
Can anyone here clarify if i can use my Rockshox Monarch XX rear shox (with the full sprint remote too) in this frame?Has it got 1 eye or 2? Trunnions have 1 eye on one end and 2 bolt holes on the other end. 165x38 should work yes. Will give you closer to 100mm rather than 110mm (we've not quite worked it out exactly) that we get with the 165x42.5 fox . A metric shock is simply a shock that is in a whole number mm. Basically when there were trying to standardise shocks across all US(fox) and EU/Asian manufactures they decised theres going to be a range of options with intervals that frame makers can choose from. Makes it easier for everyone. Although the tune of the shock can still make a difference (although the Giant Anthem shock that alot of us are using works great, despite being tunes for that bike). https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fox-Performance-165-x-42-5-Shock-Giant-Anthem-27-5-Trunnion-Dps-Float/124273032134?epid=7026833371&hash=item1cef3ffbc6:g:rLEAAOSwRDJcCemV I believe you can convert 2 eye shocks to trunnion: https://www.dirtlabs.com/products/trek-trunnion-mount-adapter-kit Although i expect theres a cheaper one out there. Re: The shiney new AM831 Group Buy thread!
I'd give it a whirl first, although if it's been used a bit before being taken off, I'd just get the service done as it'll be way better either way. If you want, you can compare the Rockshox tunes between stumpy evo and the hightower, as Rockshox uses letter codes between base tunes that'll help differentiate them. You'll have to do some research and see what each bike is. It'll look something like M/M or L/M or so for each shock. June 23, 2021, 02:36:37 PM |

Re: LCFS911 full suspension
After one or the other post on how to build, please find a couple of pics of the final result. I'd like to thank the forum as the ideas and also other detailed pictures helped me a lot. Of course, this paintjob is very, very personal and surely not everyone's taste. I'm a big sucker for the 90s and always wondered what a modern Klein would look like. This could be it, as a modern tribute to the former world-class brand. I love it. For me, building this lcfs911 gave me the opportunity to build something unique like this. Technically, the bike is solid. It features an eagle gx group with a lightcarbon wheel Set and a fox rc32 fork. Stay healthy! July 15, 2021, 03:11:41 PM |

Re: Lexon "Riot 10"
although it cannot touch it, it is not a bad idea to add a travel reducer. The manufacturer told me that it was possible to mount the Manitou Mara Shock with that travel

Re: Hardcore hardtails
Here are the two versions marketed as Kona ST analogues, there’s also one that seems to be less “hardcore” marketed as a Santa Cruz Chameleon analogue: January 05, 2022, 07:49:52 PM |
