Frame is up for sale : http://www.light-bikes.fr/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=57&t=1414

Why are you selling? Do you have another frame in mind that better suits your riding style (just curious).

So you went tubeless if I understand well? Can you give us a little report about how you like it and also about the black prince brake pads please?

Thank you!

Yeah tubeless, so far it's painful because I can't get the tire inflated on the rim, I suspect the Maxxis Padrone TR's are just a bit too loose on this wheel. I ordered a compressor booster and a pair of Schwalbe tires so I will let you know once I get them all mounted up.

Wheels came in yesterday.

Got the 25mm wide, 38mm deep tubeless clinchers. I couldn't get the tire to inflate! I tried all the tricks in the book and even took it to a bike shop with a compressor - they couldn't either! I bought the Maxxis 25C padrone TR tires. Anyway the shop tried another tire and it worked fine. So now I have another pair of tires on the way (this time 28C). Other than that I am super happy with the wheelset, the weight was about 1550-1600g so around what I was expecting. And the packaging was great, customer service also great.

Got an email this morning from Workswell:

Great build and thanks for the thorough write up, much appreciated! Now to drool over the pictures...

I'm using a set of FarSport carbon wheels since 2013 and not a single problem with them. I use SwissStop Yellow King brake pads with them. They are also as true as when I got them new. Never had to touch the spoke tension. I went with the Ed Hubs and ceramic bearings. I just wish I went with the 38mm profile instead of the 24mm.

Thanks for the feedback, that's good to know.

Hey guys i've been doing a lot of research out there and seen/heard a lot of horror stories. I like to climb a lot and as such do a lot of downhill too. I have heard decent things about Yoeleo, and good things about Farsports. Do you guys have any opinions/experience on this topic?

Thanks

...I got the ultralight frame (T800)...

Did they make the full frame in T800 on your request ?
What weight difference do you expect ?

Isn't a mix of T700 and T800 used on some rims and bikes, depending on where you want some more rigidity or more flex/strength ?

I ordered the 19" boost T800 M9007 frame from Pro-Mance on request (see http://www.pro-mance.com/product-390-16797-46557.html). Neither Hongfu or TanTan were willing to do an ultralight version, and Pro-Mance was both willing to special-order a T800 version and work out a much better price.

I'm expecting about 150g lighter, but I did have it painted so probably around 1850g for the frame.  I'm building with the goal of staying under 20 pounds, so this little bit might make that possible.

You can probably negotiate with Pro-Mance any day for in-stock T700 frames to match the quote Hongfu is giving on their "special" pricing with a 3-month wait. In retrospect, I would get an in-stock frame, as I was not happy waiting for three months without any bike. I had to sell my other bike to afford this one.

Looks like about the same geo as the 058 right? Definitely let us know when you get it!

Can you share more information on the FM289?  hongfu-bikes.com is down so I can't look into it.

They have 0 information about it on the site, not even a picture. But they should have info about it this year sometime. Another one in the works is the WCB-M-145 from workswellbikes. I inquired about info on that and they will send me an email when they have an update. Here: http://www.workswellbikes.com/PRODDUCT/MTB/Trail/20170809/153.html

Too bad this thread got hijacked with BS.

To keep the discussion going about the 258 vs 036 and FS29. The FS29 as stated earlier has a much slacker headtube angle which I like, but also has longer chainstay. So this would definitely have the affect of being harder to turn, especially at slower speeds. I think its a slight difference but it comes down to how you like to ride. I'm still trying to find a good FS frame that has a slacker tube angle but also a short chainstay. Would love to hear suggestions!
