I am looking for a handlebar where the area near the clamp is round. I would like to attach my light and this is only possible on a round tube.
Any Ideas?
Never seen this. But I had the same issue. I bought a new light   ;D.
What you could think about is a computer mount. There are adapter clamps for the mount (with a strong rubber band for the light), where you can attach any light to. I never used them, because I already had the new light.  Meanwhile I shifted to a Cateye light that is also attached to the computer mount. Because the first rubber band type light was stolen from me ???..

Ya I wish that were the case so I could go back to them but it matches their marketing material as well as product photos on their listing.  100% crappy forming on mold for this area.

Did a double take on the listing.  If you zoom in, it's not great on their marketing as well... https://ae01.alicdn.com/kf/Sa8d74c26ab6943a3af0cdc7d28a56e60Y.jpg_640x640Q90.jpg
:( sad thing.  I chose the Vero for several reasons and at least the top cap has a good fit there.. the spacers which don't allow to be removed for fully integrated setup are also crappy.. I grinded them on my own to ensure that. I will definitely play around with the spacer height a bit.

So far so good.  Had to use carbon paste on both sides of the spacer insert and torque it up to 7-8nm to stop it from moving.  Might be an issue with my fork, I seem to always have this problem.

Rigid under high load so has an assured feel when putting down the watts.  Looks great also.  Top cap is unfortunate lol.  I'm thinking about shaving down some material myself to make it sit better.  The provided aluminum bike mount is great, really firm and has several optional attachments.

Would I recommend this?  Yes and no, the only problem being the top cap, if you can overlook that, it's a solid handlebar.

That looks like the wrong top cap frankly. They must have sent you the top cap of another handlebar. I lave a Lexon Vero here and although it created also issues (serious ones), the top cap is fine for it.

How does it help you if others tell you their sweet spot?
This can be very different due to different needs and wishes.
;D That's possibly the reason why so many different gravel bikes do exist.

The smallest width I have seen with large Flair so far is 360 on the top.

But I can't tell about the quality of Ryet.
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EQVJoQF

Cockpits smaller than 360 are really rare. I've only seen some for road with no Flair at all or only 20mm more width in the drops. If that's acceptable there is one from Lexon . Named "Vero". They declare the width according to drop width, so 360 would be 340 on the hoods. I ordered the "380" and I can confirm that it has 360 on the hoods.

My Lexon shopping experience was not the greatest by the way.. if it was not for the geometry of the handlebar I would have sent also the second handlebar back. The first one was out of spec and couldn't be even mounted on the fork...

Do we know what's different? From the panda podium video I didn't understand what changed with the new erx (with the exception of the brakes but i don't think anyone had any issue with the brakes, I certainly didn't).

Hopefully they improved the mechanic design as well as the water protection .....  8)
I was just thinking about your rear derailleur failure description (the one failing after some tough decent) if it's a smart idea to ride something similar on a MTB with all that mechanic shocks.
I don't think so frankly. If there's a general design flaw this kind of sickness usually gets the whole " product family".

Yes i'm either in France or Romania. after i get the replacements, let's chat. I may open one myself to see if there's something obvious, i could maybe send you one if you're curious to play around. It would be interesting to figure out what happened.
Either way, neither died because of water or humidity. One died after a descent on bad asphalt with teeth rattling vibration, the other one just died at the very start of the ride, but we're not in humid climate or season so can't be condensation.

;D sometimes the damages are a weirdo combination of several things. Yes, I agree , your description doesn't sound like water at the first space. I am super curious, last year i opened a failed Shimano front derailleur and I could figure out the damage.. purely mechanic damage, the electronic part was super fine. ;D I didn't expect that frankly... I am open for that experiment, let's just chat then  :)

I have access to 4 of the 5 now (2 broken, 1 on my road bike that's working and 1 that's not broken but on a bike with a broken wheel & a trashed RD hanger, so not seeing any use for several weeks already):
Broken: 250123
Broken: 250123
Working: 250123
Working: 250123
...
Maybe more interestingly full numbers 250123XXXX0119 / 123 / 122 / 133.  I blanked out the middle, idk if it's sensitive or not to share the serial #.

You are in the EU? I am familiar with the physical analysis of broken electronic units.
I can't of curse guarantee anything, but if this failure is due to a water ingress or internal dewing event there should be visible traces on the printed board. Sometimes it's also possible to see bad solder joints.
Internal damages of components unfortunately very often do not show any signs of something which can be seen visually. Sometimes they show discoloration on pins or melted housing but that's not always the case.
This analysis is very often destructive,. But .. its already dead, right?  ;D

I messaged Goldix and they told me this hub is only available with 60t.  I'm done with it.  I'm cutting my losses and putting on a DT 350.  Hopefully it's similar enough to not need new spokes.
:( sorry to hear that.  Good luck with the reuse of spokes.
The 60T and 36T replacement set do in fact look very similar in the outer ring structure and additional rings..  ???  Sad that the dimensions are not given.
But even your link to the article tells about optional 36T. This is. Weird?

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / Re: Ltwoo ERX warranty claim
« on: April 22, 2024, 05:44:12 PM »
If components melt in the sun then it's not usable. My friend had his er9 RD die at the start of a ride, for no reason. Mine died on Saturday during a descent with bad asphalt resulting in lots of vibrations. These are normal use cases. In fact vibration testing is supposed to be part of endurance tests for stuff, and pretty sure 5min of vibrations aren't supposed to break a derailleur.
I'm now battling to get feedback from ltwoo via the guy who sold me the groups, and he's turning to be a clown so far. Extremely pissed off I am.

Even very weak electronic components do not melt at 40°C.
But... something didn't like the temperature, that's obvious. So in the end it's just dead and that's the important fact..
I'd think even by opening the rear derailleur and having a look inside will probably not show an obvious failure. 40 is just not enough. Every mobile phone gets hotter internally.
So it's a bit mysterious.

My Goldix 240 SL 60t is skipping bad under load. https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804895514428.html?spm=a2g0o.order_list.order_list_main.59.65081802Fw79NU&gatewayAdapt=glo2usa

I tried purchasing a dt swiss 54t exp upgrade but it is incompatible with the hub.  The threaded portion is way larger on the Goldix hub.  Anyone have success with trying something different?

Can't you purchase some ratchets from Goldix store with lower number of teeth?
At least they sell them separately
https://a.aliexpress.com/_EuuXcE3
At least going down in teeth number gives more robustness against slipping.

I have the CFR1056 and 32mm measured is really the maximum you can run on this frame. More than 32mm would not leave enough space for mud and debris.

If the information that I collected is correct, the 1ü56 got an update which allows up to 38mm now.  Guess Carbonda could prove this information just by asking them.

Component Deals & Selection / Re: Chinese cycling clothes

so I ordered a YKYWBIKE 3/4 bib during the Anniversary sale and it just arrived yesterday.

The quality is so good, especially the Elastic Interface chamois.

One thing I noticed though is that I possibly derped when I ordered it, not knowing it was for women ;D

But hey, it still fits great!
;D if it fits, just use it.
I like men's bibs more.. since there is no obvious marking... and even if ...

I just noticed that Pandapodium put up this comment on their eRX listing

It looks like plenty of people are asking this question already to them.

Good that l ordered di2 last week  ;D
..I was willingly to wait if the evolution of ERX would be better regarding the water ingress.. but my new frame arrived last week, no way that I would wait that long.  The summer is coming   8)
But: next bike build will come for sure and then  ERX is probably a solution.

I've used gold, pink and silver Coomas. My definitive favorite is the gold version. They are simply put very, very good and compete with the best metallic pads out there.
The pink version is good as long as they do not overheat. But if they do overheat, they will abruptly glaze over and permanently loose power.
The silver version is flat out garbage and is not worth buying.

I agree with the gold Cooma. But they tend to squeal a bit more easy.. just normal behavior for metallic pads. For Shimano pads it's exactly the same.  ;D
