29er / LCFS948 - a new enduro from Light Carbon
« on: September 17, 2023, 04:28:29 AM »
Light Carbon makes the best frames I have built with and the enduro frame LCFS947 is a favorite of mine. The only drawback is that it cant take long dropperposts, the insert is short.

Now there seems to be a new and very interesting enduro frame on the way from Light Carbon, the LCFS948. What are your thoughts about that frame?

29er / AM831 - The flex-fix
« on: March 23, 2022, 03:03:44 AM »
Received the new bolts yesterday, wery well made. I am still waiting for the bearings I ordered. I haven't read everything regarding the flex problem so I could use some help. Is this where the new bearing and bolt should be used?

29er / My new LCFS958 - StefanB
« on: March 07, 2022, 03:26:50 AM »
For two years ago I built a LCFS958 to replace my Merida ONE-TWENTY 800 trailbike. I  have been very happy with my LCFS958.

Last year I built myself a LCFS947 endurobike and this bike had other qualities. More stable descending and better on technical climbs. But it is heavier and fells slower.

The LCFS frame is from 2019 and reach has increased on all bikes the last years. My LCFS958 was in size L with 140 mm fork and a reach of 470 mm. If i build a new one in size XL and 150 mm fork it  will be slacker and with a reach of 500 mm.

So I sold my old LCFS958, ordered a new frame, painted, and built my new bike. I have to adjust the brakes and gears, maybe shorten the chain But a first test-ride is close.

Here are some images of my Light Carbon LCFS713 bike in size M.

This is my 6:th frame and build from Light Carbon and I am very happy with the quality of their products.

The LCFS713 frame is from 2019, replaced with the LCFS947 2021 and of course I have built a LCFS947 as well.

But I like the lines of the LCFS713  and the reach is a little shorter, maybe more suitable for women (my wife). This is the first frame i ordered painted from Light Carbon and i think they have done a nice job.

29er / Light Carbon LCFS713 build.
« on: October 12, 2021, 01:49:22 AM »
I'm addicted to building bikes. (I love riding them to...) And my first build was the Light Carbon LCFS958. Its a great bike and the quality and fit of the frame is perfect. So I stuck with Light Carbon frames and after that I have built two LCFS911, one LCFS917, one LCFS947 and now I am busy building my first LCFS713.
I'm building the LCFS713 in size M so its not for me. It fits my wife, or i might sell it. Its just the creative you of building and curiosity of the frame that makes we want to build another LCFS bike.

29er / LCFS 917 - 120/120 mm - MTB
« on: July 12, 2021, 10:39:47 AM »
I have just received my new LCFS917 frame and slowly going to built the bike. I'm calling it a "Down Country" MTB since with its 120 mm travel, rear and front, and the way i´m building it its  not  built to be a XC racer.

As always the frames from Light Carbon looks great. Well put together and great finish. This is the 5th bike I'm building, i have built two LFCS 911, one LCFS958 and one LCFS 947. It so fun to build bikes:-)

What I have to decide before starting is if I should paint the frame or not. The previous bikes I have not painted, just put my own stickers on. But I can imagine hos nice it would look in "RAL 6018 Yellow Green".

I will keep you posted as the project goes on.

29er / LCFS713 - Full Suspension Enduro

I helped a friend to order a frame from Light Carbon. He has seen my LSFS911 and LCFS958 and got inspired. His coice of frame was the LCFS713, a more enduroinspired frame. He is buikding it for his son and wife to share, so the size is Medium. I think it looks great.
