Re: LCFS911 full suspension
Hi.

If your are 180 cm long like I am should you go for a M or L?
I hate beening in between :(

I'm 165cm and went with a M, so if I was you I'd go for a L. Although I haven't actually tried mine yet haha, still missing some pieces.

Re: LCFS911 full suspension Looks great @StefanB!

Finished my build up and have 4 rides in on it now. It's my first mtb since I was in highschool with 26inch wheels haha. The 29er wheels are crazy, can just roll over anything. Although for really technical rocky trails I might be a little concerned about bottom-bracket clearance with smaller wheels. I had quite a few pedal strikes, but it is probably also my terrible technique.

350MB wheels from lightcarbon
Lightcarbon bar + headset
Magura MT5 + Shimano mt200
zitto stem
sram eagle sx
random cheap amazon aluminum pedals
aliexpress saddle
rock shox monarch rl 165x38
rock shox sektor 120mm
aliexpress zoom dropper (too long for me haha, at least it was cheap), replacing this with a oneup v2 120mm that's in the mail.

Biggest problem I ran into is the magura caliper not fitting in the rear triangle. I was planning on printing/machining my own bracket to move the mount to somewhere better. But my temporary shimano brake is just so much easier bleed I'm considering just switching to a higher level shimano system. The magura bleed process (at least for mt5 style) is awful and makes a mess.

Re: LCFS947 - 160mm 4-bar 27+/29 Just placed my order with Wendy today. Same price as listed earlier, 720usd, and another 100usd for shipping. I also grabbed one of their AM05 handlbars and a spare derailleur hanger.

I was also a bit concerned about the dropper insertion length but after doing some measurements it should be fine for me using a OneUpv2.

Re: LCFS947 - 160mm 4-bar 27+/29 Nice thanks, you're looks great! Hmm so I guess the hardware is correct but it is isn't a perfect design. I filed down the little smushed part and it seems to be working normally.

Here's a picture of it:

Gonna try to find some plastic washers or something to stick between so the bushing doesn't slide out again. Although I also don't want it to be rubbing against the frame all the time.

Re: LCFS947 - 160mm 4-bar 27+/29

Added some nylon washers to hopefully prevent the mounting hardware getting messed up again. Ordered a set on Amazon, ended up using M12s, and had to file down the inner diameter to get them to fit.

Re: Elite Wheels ENT vs Elite Wheels SLT vs Velobuild VB-RC Also in Ontario haha, I went with the VB-RC-50-25mm with novatec 791/792 hubs since I also ordered a VB-099. Ordered Aug 17, wheels shipped Aug 24, and I picked them Sept 1. Crazy fast shipping compared to my past experiences. They look great so far, no blemishes. Only potential problem I see is the included 'tubeless tape' strip thing is not very confidence inspiring. Especially once I put some valves in. I'm probably just going to cut it off and replace with some actual tubeless tape instead of wasting time trying it.

Re: Tideace 2022 New Enduro Mold FS838 Being Production Looks very similar to the norco range, which is a cool bike. This is also the first high-pivot/idler frame now?

Re: LCFS947 - 160mm 4-bar 27+/29

1 year update! Non drive side picture oops, the climb was very long for me haha. My riding is 50/50 lift access janky park stuff and trail riding. The 947 has been perfect, definitely saved me from some sketchy lines several times. The frame also survived a few big crashes and came away with only a few scratches. It's been problem free as well, apart from the linkage changing colour on me. I re-painted it over the winter and it looks pretty good for a rattle can job. Had no problem disassembling and reassembling the linkage. I also added sound dampening foam to all the internal cables and it made a huge difference. I would definitely recommend adding them to any new build.

I also upgraded to a nukeproof horizon enduro saddle and that was worth it as well. It's a low height saddle so it helps get it out of the way when the dropper is down.
