May I ask who the beautiful lady was and does she grace us with her prescence on this forum?    If it's your daughter, forget I said anything! ;D

Gratz Pat C!

Ditto on the pretty, tan skinned girl, with the big smile. I say we give her a sash and a crown and make her the first official "Ms. Chinertown"  ;D

Thought this was pretty cool.. The guy that writes for the site TheOatmeal.com is trying to get a Nikola Tesla museum going and Musk just donated a cool 1 million to the project.

After The Ride / New Corvette Anyone?
« on: July 08, 2014, 11:34:03 PM »
Somehow went from Spanish horse festivals to drooling over the latest 'vette. Nature of the interwebs, I suppose.

Man, this thing has to be the sexiest, most bad ass looking car I've seen in a long time, maybe ever. I'm in love with this thing. Anyone else? Like something else better? The Skyline GT-R is sweet but I don't think it has anything on the corvette (strictly speaking about design)

After The Ride / Spanish Horse Festival - Pretty cool stuff!
« on: July 08, 2014, 10:51:28 PM »
It's quite possible that I'm the only one that will think this is cool  8) but thought I'd share this article about the Spanish Horse Festival. As I was reading I was waiting for the part where they kill all the horses for fun, but was pleasantly surprised when I read that intentions were actually to help the wild horses. Some pretty crazy pics.

SamSkjord, thanks for sharing!  Makes me think twice about wanting a Lefty fork.

Agreed. They still look awesome and I'd prefer one bc the design simply "seems" superior in my mind, but I did actually think there was more of a weight savings.

Cool thread.

Really interested in this frame - never seen it before. Anybody know of any builds using it, or have any other type of info on it?

Here is a steal of a deal if you need MTB shoes.  This online retailer is selling a pair of Scott Team Issue Race shoes, retail $309, sale price $122.  I talked to my friend at the LBS who is a Scott Dealer and he is telling me this is cheaper than the store can buy them.  Shipping was $20.50 so for $142 you can get a top of the line MTB shoe.

They have 4 sizes available, 43, 44, 45, 46.

They also have the Scott Boa shoe for $73, that's $110 off!

Nice find! Def ordering a pair.

Not as great of a deal but I just snagged these cutters for $12: http://www.pricepoint.com/Brand/Titan/Titan-Cable-and-Housing-Cutter.axd

$300?

Hell, you could buy those frames and sell them on this site for $100 mark-up!  8)

Interesting thread. As I was reading through it, I remembered this video that shows some mag wheels kinda like what you guys are talking about, and thought it was worth sharing. They aren't MTB wheels but still pretty darn cool looking. I too would like to see some new type of mag wheels come out if they could offer decent performance/weight.

I've read a few different things about where these frames come from and how they get distributed, but I'm still not entirely clear on the matter.

So, all of the 256, 036, and 057 frames are from the same manufacturer? Just one or more than one manufacturer? Or do each of these sellers each produce their own frames in-house?

Thx.
