TanTan Seraph TT-X34, FM639 or FM619 Hi there,
After i built a GR029 with my boyfriend a couple of years ago, I am looking at Road Bike Frames this time.

I am wondering if any of you has experiences to share about the TT-X34, FM639 or FM619.

What is important to me?
Disc Brake
Thru Axle
Clearance for decent size of tyres (minimum 28 mm / ideally 32 mm).

Officially the TT-X34 has 30mm, maybe a 32 fits? What I don't like too much is the fully integrated Handlebar (means that you can play only with the spacers) and the specific seatpost.

From a frame design point while I like both, I have a preference for the FM639/FM619 (same geometry only a bit different weight so I don't know what is the difference...).  Anyone has one of these frames?

Re: TanTan Seraph TT-X34, FM639 or FM619 Sorry to hear you had a problem. This is my second TanTan bike (Gr029) and I am very happy with the first one. The FM639 has thru axles so I don’t think we would have a problem. In any case we have tools to align the hanger, derailleur ….
Will let you know how it goes

Re: TanTan Seraph TT-X34, FM639 or FM619 Thanks a lot for the detailed feedback and the heads up with the headset. Yes I realised the Seat Tube angle is at 73, considered it on Geometry Geeks analysis. As I have long legs I wnt with a slightly bigger frame so the saddle is not out that much. Having a higher stack should add on the more relaxed position. Happy the bike is not too nervous, while I love climbing, I am not the lightest so stability in descent is appreciated.

Re: TanTan Seraph TT-X34, FM639 or FM619 SamSida the bike is for me, ChrisB is helping me building it. I have long legs and a shorter torso. My mobility is not extremely good neither. On top I like more classic style frames, only few aero frames are beautiful in my opinion.
Hence I have checked around and the frame that I liked the most, had decent tyre clearance and did not have a dropped seatstay was the FM639. Another point for Tantan was that they sell on Aliexpress, which was very useful a couple of times were the seller did not comply (on top of being happy with my first one the GR029).

I realised now that the same frame is available with Winow under FM219 but with Toray 800 instead of 1000.
At the end there is a limited amount of open mould and the same are probably used by many producers, this is the reason why you see a similar frame offered by different brands. But thanks a lot for your suggestions, I think it is very useful to have an idea of what kind of producers and frames are around!

Seraph Tan Tan FM639 - my build Hi there,

as you may have seen in my previous post, at the end of March I decided to order a Seraph FM639 in a custom color.

The decision was taken mainly for 3 reasons:
1) Geometry
2) I don't like aero nor dropped seatpost
3) and last but not least I have the Seraph GR029 since end of 2020 and I am very happy with it.

The communication with the seller was excellent and replies very prompt via Aliexpress messaging tool.
The color definition / translation is a bit different in chinese. I wanted a "Metallic" sparkling color finish, I realised they call it glossy finish. At the end the best is to go through their instagram or homepage pictures and send them a screenshoot of what you want.
The painting took a bit longer than expected but the seller was always quick in answering my questions about the status.

Finally last week the frame arrived and I started the buildup.
I ordered from them as well the integrated cockpit, seatpost with 0° setback that where included in the post, plus through axles, a garmin mount and a spare hanger.

I decided to go with a Shimano 105 di2 (12s - 50/34 - 11.34) groupset. The idea is to get a 11-36 when available, possibly a light version.

- Elite SLT Disc wheels 40mm deep and 29mm wide
- Schwalbe One tubeless tires 30mm wide
- Mixed 6D saddle (might be changed...)
- SPD mountain bike double sided pedals

The build went very smooth even for a "beginner" like me thanks to the help of my boyfriend. Only 1 point where I had to be a bit patient. First of all I ordered some Internal Housing Damper 6mm foam sleeve which I put on the rear hydraulic cable to avoid rattling at a later stage. The hydraulic cables are very sturdy and the most difficult part is the routing through the cockpit.
One point in favour is that the frame has some nice metal spacers where there is space at the front for the cables. The most important point is to pass the cable through the handlebar in the same end position. I did not in the first time and the cables tension would rotate the handlebar. Once rerouted the problem was gone.

The bike weighs 8.3kg with garmin mount, pedals and bottle cages in a size 56 frame. As from specification the frame has space for a 28mm tyre. As you can see from one of the pictures 30mm fit as well in this case, but not much space left.
It really rides well and feels quick  8) . The only things I will have to change are the saddle (the position is different compared to the old bike and does not work).

Re: TanTan Seraph TT-X34, FM639 or FM619
looks great, you think a Deda DCR stem would work with the frame?

I think it should work. I see that the cables need to go out on the front side, which they do and your stem has an adapter for 1 1/8 (stem is 1 1/8 - 1 1/2). The spacer look very similar as well...

If you want to order without the handlebar it will be FM619.

Very pretty paint job & bike, congrats!
How much did you pay for the frame with shipping?

Hi there, ordered it via Aliexpress and shipping to Switzerland in CHF. With 1 spare hanger, computer mount, through axles, and brake plugs I did not use was a total of 634.52 CHF (74 was shipping) plus 100 USD for the custom colour.

Re: Shopping advice. HELP me PLEASE Hi there,
I have a similar morphology, hence I was looking for a bicycle with higher stack and less reach. On the roadbike side I just went with the TanTan Seraph FM639 (in Geometry Geeks you can find the data under FM619 which is the frame without the integrated handlebar).
On the Gravel Side, I am riding a GR029 (always from Tan Tan) but would have wished to go 1 size higher. In general all Gravel Bikes have higher Stack and more relaxed position. I quickly gave a look at the GR044 and it seems similar. The biggest difficulty will be to find a bike in a big size as you are 1.90. Do you have a frame already which you can take in comparison? I selected the data of the old bike in Geometry Geeks and did a comparison.
