Re: Chinese Carbon 29er Pic Thread.
Done with my third Light Carbon bike. For myself I have built a LCFS958 and for the rest of the family I have built 2 LCFS911. For the future I am really curious abouth the LCFS947 frame. Overall I am very happy with the quality of the Light Carbon frames and they are great to ride. November 10, 2020, 02:13:51 AM |

Re: Lightcarbon LCFS937 Build
Thanks Philipp. I have had the bike for a couple of months now and ride 2-4 times a week. I love it, its fantastic and I am a better rider with this bike than with my "old" Merida One-Twenty 800. I climb better, i descend better, I fell more safe and take on challenges I did not before. The "Akkebike" lettering is 343*40 mm. The dropper post is a problem, I first tried a 170 mm but it was to long so now I have a 125 mm dropper with a total length of 420 mm and that works well. https://www.bikester.se/red-cycling-products-remote-dropper-teleskop-sattelstutze-316-mm-M724376.html I have built 3 "Akkebikes" so now the whole family has one each. This is really fun so i am planning another build, the more Enduro-oriented LSFS 947. Best regards Stefan January 04, 2021, 01:50:59 AM |

Re: LCFS713 - Full Suspension Enduro
The bike is almost ready, just some adjustments left to do. And when the snow and cold is gone, time for a testride.

Re: LCFS947 - 160mm 4-bar 27+/29
I hope to receive my frame this week. I am also waiting for my rear shock, a Marzocchi Bomber CR Trunnion. Now when I think about it im a bit nervous, will the spring-shock fit into the frame :-o Images coming up........ March 22, 2021, 09:42:02 AM |

Re: LCFS947 - 160mm 4-bar 27+/29
Yes this will be my 4:th (and last....) bike to build. Its so much fun and the bikes are great. But I don't think they are easy to sell so they are only great value and fun for myself.

Re: LCFS947 - 160mm 4-bar 27+/29
The new LCFS947 is HUGE!!!!! And with 51mm offset on the Lyrik form its even longer. I have never ridden something like this, its going to be very interesting and exciting.

Re: LCFS947 - 160mm 4-bar 27+/29
The tire clearance is ok. Here is a image with 2.6" Continental Trail King on 30 mm rim. The chainstay protector is from Nukeproof, that I modified to fit. March 26, 2021, 08:03:35 AM |

Re: LCFS947 - 160mm 4-bar 27+/29
The bike is almost finished. A chain and some adjustments left before I can test-ride it. I am happy that I choose a 120 mm dropper for the size L frame. Im 184 cm tall and it would not have worked with a higher dropperpost.

Re: LCFS947 - 160mm 4-bar 27+/29
All things now put together. I have a 120 mm dropper-post, I will most likely replace it with a 150 mm, there is space for it. The Marzocchi Bomber CR is a bit difficult to get in place and to adjust the spring compared to a air damper, the coil works against me. But when all adjustments are done its no problem, then the Marzocchi fight is over. I haven't taken the bike into the woods yet, but my first impression is that it fells a lot like my LCFS958. Hopefully all adjustments are done before next weekend so that the first trail test can take place. April 06, 2021, 01:59:28 AM |

Re: LCFS947 - 160mm 4-bar 27+/29
Today I had my first ride on the LCFS947 and its really a great bike. It climbs extremely well and is super stable on descends. Its a long bike so it feels a little slower throwing around rocks and tight trails. I have a Marzocchi Bomber CR on it and it works great. But its very, very tight so I cant adjust the spring by hand, I need a little tool. Tomorrow Im taking my LCFS958 for a ride to get a fell of the differences and to start finding out if I prefer one before the other. April 10, 2021, 02:01:07 PM |
