29er / Lexin Genius full sus XC thoughts?

Anyone tried or know anything about the Lexon Genius 29er full sus XC frameset available on Aliexpress?

It’s available in both boost and non boost. Weight seems relatively competitive compared to other Chinese offerings. I’m curious to know about the quality, particularly how stiff the rear triangle is. My last Chinese xc bike was always a bit loose in the rear triangle.

29er / 165x38mm vs 165x40mm shock....interchangeabel?

Can a 165x38mm shock be used in a frame that says its made for 165x40 (with a claimed 103mm of travel)

Im looking at a few chinese frames, one of which says it uses a 165x40mm rear shock.
My Rockshox Monarch xx shock is 165x38mm. will this be ok?

MTB specs still confuse me... :o

29er / Full sus xc non boost frameset?
« on: November 13, 2020, 07:34:57 AM »
Hi folks,

Suddenly I need to replace my old ican AC036 frame set. Hoping to transfer as many parts over as possible.

Are there any decent 29er XC frame sets available intended for 100mm travel that aren’t Boost? I understand boost wheels will be stiffer but then I guess I’d also need new cranks and I currently use a power2max power meter on Rotor Rex 1.2 cranks, and they’ll be too expensive to replace to make this worthwhile. Fwiw I currently have rockshox monarch cx 165x38mm rear shock and sid xx wc fork with carbon crown.

Any tips on some good frames?

Cheers
