I really do prefer the Ican P8 frame to these CS frames. Has a pivot bearing at the dropout and BSA type bottom bracket. Really don't like press fit BBs. Carbon Dpeed seem a bit prehistoric to me!!

Huh?

Cannondale, Orbea, Scott, Kona, Yeti and Specialized and half a dozen other manufacturers use this design for their low (100-120) travel bikes.

We've been talking past each other. And I've been unclear. Sorry.  :)

I've ridden the Spark. It's an awesome bike. That's why I'm considering the CS-FS27.

Just so we're clear, I'm not bagging on the Scott or the FS-27. I'm probably going to buy one soon.

If anything, I'm defending the Scott from being compared to a SC. Had two SCs. Big, fat waste of money.

I'd love a 130/122mm FS to compliment my Yeti ASRc. I have two frames from Peter already, four Chinese carbon in total. Been very pleased.

And all sizes frames in UD matt first batch production can be availble in 20 days, we still have some frames left and they can be preordered now

I don't need one, unfortunately. But I do know some that are in the market. I wish I could get one of them to buy one so I can try it for myself.

And for those that are curious to what bike it is similar too, I think I found one that is VERY close, the Santa Cruz Hightower. There may be others though. The difference is that this has 122mm of travel vs 135mm, and the bottom bracket is 6mm lower on the CS-FS27.

This bike looks great, but aside from portions of its geometry, is nothing like the Hightower.

Think long travel XC vs. Enduro sled.

Scott copied this frame and called it the Spark 700 Plus. Geometry is the same.  ;)

Sit on a Spark, a 130mm/122mm bike, and a Hightower, a 150/135mm bike, and tell me they are the same. Then put power into the pedals. Completely different.

Numbers on a table are one thing, but the actual riding position, when shocks are set up properly, is very different. They share similar geometry, but ride nothing alike.

The M06 is a much closer approximation of the Yeti ASRC than the Scott Spark.

The -027? Yeah, that's a Spark.

Can you guys please stop saying the word "press"?

It's a drop-in headset. You don't need a press. You need fingers. That's it.

You're conveying the (wrong) idea that this frame takes a press-in headset. It doesn't. Stop.

Minion SS on an XC HT...

Why do you hate speed?

That is exactly same CS-FS27 frame :)

Are you changing the rear brake mount location as previously suggested?

Looks like Lamere is selling a version of this frame. About a third of the way down the page.

What is the redesign?

Moving the rear brake to the CS and changing the routing?

If it is like the spark 900/700 Plus, it will be very interesting if a 29x2.8 or 3.0 tire will fit. There wasn't room for a 29x3 in the Spark 700 Plus.

There are two frames floating around out there.

This one seems to be a 900 RC copy.

In my thread about 120mm frames, there is a bike from XMcarbonspeed linked in it. It is almost an exact copy of the non-RC 900/700 Plus.

This bike looks like a well designed copy of the Yeti ASRc. Very similar in many ways, even down to the 22.2mm bushing width.

Am I wrong in that they both appear to have 66.9° HTAs?

The differences, as far as I can tell, are that the XM Carbon Speed is listed as 130/122, and the Miracle as 120/100.

The CS-FS27, assuming it is 130/122 as stated, looks like the ticket. It appears to be a dead on copy of the Scott.

I'm also operating under the assumption that any frame built for 27x3.0s can take 29x2.35s.
