I wanted to double check guys - would you recommend anti-seize for a thru axle thread and grease for middle of a thru axle?

Hey guys, I just internally routed all the cables. When I steer to the left or right in the air, the fork swiftly moves back to center/natural position on its own. Is this connected to me doing something wrong or is it common?

The mechanic suggested to use grease(silicone or regular) and said that almost any type of grease would be better(not carbone paste or similar) than nothing at all for bottom bracket cups in this case.

These guys use ASC for threads in thread together(thread fit) bottom bracket - https://youtu.be/84Ut53i17iQ?si=M2J55_MzgPmmvgRz&t=303
I'm still unsure if I should use grease/asc/liqui moly 3312/nothing for Token Ninja BB cups. I'll ask also a mechanic in a bike shop when I go there to cut the steerer tube next week.

I went down that rabbit hole yesterday. Having looked at a lot of videos, pretty much ALL modern builds I saw put bike grease on headset bearing seats (I think mostly for waterproofing?). Given how annoying it is to disassemble headsets these days, and how quickly you can get creaks if you ride in the rain (even once), i would say, cake that b1tch.
Can you please share some video which you found, where grease is used on integrated crown race?

Oh, alright thanks! Another question - is it good to grease the bearing in the picture above also from the bottom/inner side?

Hey guys, I finally got to build of this bike and I noticed that there might be a missing part under the fork bottom bearing. My question is if it is normal this way or if something is really missing?

@jonathanf2, @TidyDinosaur how much did you pay for the Kactus rotors and which size did you get?

Hey guys. I’m curious what is your view on expanders/compression plugs. Yishun provided one(see picture), but I’m unsure if it’s any good or enough, if I want to use spacers. What would you suggest?

Road Bike Frames, Wheels & Components / SPD-SL Pedals on AliExpress

Hello, I'm curious if someone has any experience with cheap SPD-SL pedals from AliExpress. Here are few examples of what I'm considering:
If you know about some better alternatives in the similar price range of 20-30€ or have any input, please let me know.

Hey, I haven't built the bike yet since it's still pretty cold in here. I'm planning to build it in March so it's ready for start of the season in April. I think I already got almost all the parts. Currently I'm deciding which bottom bracket I should get, three options I'm considering are:
  • Shimano SM-BB72-41B - I can get it for about 20€
  • Shimano SM-BB92-41B - I can get it for about 25€
  • Token Ninja Zenith BB841T-41 - I can get it for about 50€
How is your experience with creaking and longevity when using regular pressfit from Shimano compared to thread together from Token Ninja. Is it worth the extra money?

I’ve got some questions regarding cables. I’m not really sure what to get. The L-TWOO R9 already has some cables included - there are cables+housing connected to both breaks and cables connected to shifters(see attached picture).
Do I need to get just one pair of housing for shifting cables? If you have any specific suggestions on what to get, please let me know.

Yes, you can connect the front and rear derailleur to the battery, pair the shifters with the derailleurs and then test everything on the kitchen table. When pressing the shifter buttons, you should see the derailleurs jump into action.
Thanks. However, I don't have eR9. Only hydraulic R9 :)

Thanks for the responses! I have another question - I just received L-TWOO R9 from AliExpress. Is there a way to easily try it out and test if it works as expected without having any other bike parts?

I just got the frame delivered. Here are few pictures. I wonder if the cable hole in the fork(last picture) is normal this way or if I should contact Yishun about it. It isn’t smooth at all but I’m unsure if that’s expected with Chinese brands.
